I'm fairly sure John 3:16 doesn't mention Clarksdale, Mississippi

Oh spare me. This is yet another twisting by xtians. The crossroads of anyplace are very powerful in Hoodoo practices. Note also that Hoodoo is in no way the same as Voodoo or Voodoun. In Hoodoo the "god" that is met at the crossroads is a benefactor that teaches specific gifts and does not require your "soul" as payment. Grow up and learn about other belief systems before you try to make them "the devil". When slaves were first brought here they had no word for "devil". They were told that the "god' they prayed to was the "devil"....they began to believe that was the name of god due to a language barrier. This is similar to "Hell Bank Notes" in China. When missionaries went to China they told them that they would go to "hell" when they die....therefore "hell" to the chinese simply was the 'white" word for afterlife. Try some research.
How is Jesus better than any other fictional character? Cause you have a book that says so? NOT. Learn some respect.
