My laptop has obvious design, as does my phone, my clothes and everything around me, and these things are all simple
How can the complexities of the design in nature and of this universe be denied primarily so people can deny the existance of a god.

Is it insane for any Christian to consider himself not Jewish since Jesus was a Jew? Is it insane for a Christian to consider himself Jewish since the Jews reject Jesus? Is it insane for a Christian to care about the Palestinians?

Big bang how did it all start? They say dust. Where did the dust come from? How did some thing that came from nothing hit something else (that you don't know where it came from) and make an explosion an start creating planets and moons.

And by the way all planets are spinning.. True
Why do some spin the other way? and even if you can try and explain that. Why do some of the moons spin the opposite way of the planet...

I know
Do You?

I'll get you started.....

Lot getting drunk and impregnating his daughters.

Jephthah sacrificing his daughter to God on an altar of fire.

The human sacrifice requirements in Leviticus 27:28-29 ; "Nevertheless, anything which a man sets apart to the LORD out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the fields of his own property, shall not be sold or redeemed. Anything devoted to destruction is most holy to the LORD. No one who may have been set apart among men shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death".

The death penalty for failure to observe the Sabbath, which no Christian has done since the fourth century (The Sabbath is sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, not Sunday).

There are many, many more, since most 'Christian' behavior is determined by our European heritage and has little to do with the Middle Eastern ideologies of the Bible.

Any thoughts?

I was just wondering why do some people always think a preacher that comes on tv is a fraud or fake??Either not of God just because they have a lot of money or ask for money. To me it's stupid because they are human like we are. They have to make it to. I know everybody is not real but every person is not fake because they ask for money. I know of people who have a lot of money and are pastors. I just want opinions on this subject.

There is NO "missing link". None. For a link to be missing, there would have to be a direct, linear line of descent (as in a chain).
Our evolution (yeah there is that scary word again) looks more like a tree, not a chain.
And there are THOUSANDS of transitional fossils backing up the science and facts surrounding Evolution.
You creationists, on the other hand have... what? A book of outdated bronze-age jewish mythology that doesn't have a scrap of credibility.
Honeslty, I feel sorry for the lot of you...

Jesus states "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake."
How can we as Christians maintain our faith under such circumstances?

all I asked was why god made so many animals that tasted of chicken, and I got my question deleted. I think thats a valid question and shows that religious persecution and censorship is rife on his board. I thought it was a place for free discussion...not cool..not cool.

When words on a screen get to us - is it ok to just walk away for a day or two?

Can't keep a good man down for long, and yes, there can only be 1.

See you tomorrow.

Look at Christians in America, they go to extreme measures trying to get people to go to church, they tell them sex before marriage is bad, they hate homosexuals, they advocate against cloning.

Look at Muslims in the Middle East, starting a Holy War, killing in the name of their God.

Why dont people think for themselves and realize that a religion is only a set of beliefs aimed to control human beings, limiting their potential by giving them false ideas.

We have caveman bones & the bones of our evolutionary ancestors but no Adam?

Perhaps they could show us that Adams body had a high concentration of silicon in his bones to prove that he was made from dirt.

This is really for Christians only but as always......all are welcome to chime in.
I still tithe to my old church back north in CT to which I am still very much attached to. I attend a huge church here in Orlando (First Baptist) and I don't feel attached just yet because of the mere size of the place.
My old church had about 40 members...whereas this one has about 14,000.
Do you think it's wrong to be tithing to a church that I don't attend anymore?
Should my commitment be towards the new church here in FL?

Your thoughts....

And is still located somewhere on this Earth today. Is this true? Where in the Bible is the passage to support this? Has anyone ever actually found the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were cast out? Thank you for any answers.
