Because it represents as much truth about the reality of Christ as the Davinci Code did. The churches made a big deal about that and ended up causing more people to believe it because the churches seemed so eager to "hide" it. I think they may have learned their lesson and realized that if they just ignore it, it will go away and be forgotten.

Because it isn't Jesus' tomb. An Israeli archaeologist found it in 1980, catalogued the ossuaries and sent them off to storage. The names Jesus (actually Yeshua or Joshua) and Miriam (Mary) were so common in that time period that he did not consider it unusual. Besides that, we are reasonably sure that Jesus' mother, Mary died and was buried in Ephesus (in modern Turkey). Most importantly, Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb of his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea because Jesus' immediate family would not have owned a tomb in Jerusalem (people bought their family tombs near where they lived unless they were wealthy) so had it been "Jesus' tomb" there would've been members of His uncle's family in the ossuaries. This is just another feeble attempt to discredit Christian belief with weak evidence.

Actually, it has been pretty hot news on the mainstream media, the problem is that its actully old news regrugitiated, these "bone Boxes" were discovered by the same archeologist and found to be unreliabel proof of where jesu was buried. nopw james cameron is simply vomiting up onld information revamped in order to stir up crap. why would I waist my time refuting him when in reality he is making himself look like a pawn?
tell, me, why did Christ Die?
have you ever lied? stolen, looked with lust or used Gods name in vain? if you have said yes to these three questions, then by your own admission your a lying theiving blapshemous adulterer at heart. you have broken the law of a Holy God, the Law is reperesentative of his charachter and nature, so to break Gods law is to deny God and reject his Holy nature. you have sinned against an infinately Holy God and you will give an acoount. the Bible says the penalty for sin is Hell. the good news is that Christ died for you, he took the punishment you deserve, so that you might be reconcilled to God. you have a choice, if Christ is what he and the christians claim he is, then you are with certain Hope of salvation if you will repent (turn from sin) and trust in christ. However, if christ is simply a myth, then your without Hope, destined for eternall damnation. please, examine my motive, I dont want your Money, i dont want you to Join my Church, Im simply begging you to do something about your eternal salvation, because there is nothing more important.
God Bless

I'm still trying to figure out why so many Christians go so upset about the Da Vinci code, which was clearly fiction...
Why should anyone get upset about this new fiction? It's no threat to anyone's faith, it is so obviously false...
