So he must have created Satan and the desasters to come. Why?

If you believe in the bible you have to believe in my senrio. Christains are taught that God is the creator of everything. Please do not repsond in telling me that I will go to hell. If you claim to be a christain and make that response you are a hypocrite. There should be no anger when discussing the Lord.

What are some verses in the Bible about a man and a woman being married who want to get divorced?

Ok, my husband's family are christians, but they want my husband and I to get divorced!! They wont even give me a chance to prove myself!! How can they believe in the Bible but still expect my husband and I to get divorced? What are some verses from the Bible that I can show them? I am just now beginning to read the Bible, and I don't know everything yet. Any help would be great. God Bless You All!

What the hell is the matter with you sheep? Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda says he is jesus christ. he has THOUSANDS of followers. Some of you will say oh he is just crazy, or oh he is the anti-christ, well then how do we know jesus 2000 years ago wasn't just crazy? If people are this willing to just blindly follow somebody in today's world, imagine how easy it would have been to get people to follow stupid teachings 2000 years ago!

I am a Catholic, and I have never heard a priest deny evolution. In fact, I have heard many priests accept the fact that evolution pretty much is a fact, and that God simply molded us from the creatures from which we evolved.

I have heard many Atheists say that Christians claim that dinosaur bones were left on Earth by the devil to confuse us, but unless I am mistaken, I believe that was some wacko who is as much Christian as he is intellectual. In fact, I can find no such quote anywhere on the internet.

Are there any Christians who believe in strict Creationism anymore? I am a very serious Catholic, and I don't think that believing this makes me any less of a Catholic, but what do you have to say about it?

--And yes, I read the Bible. Remember, however, the Bible was inspired by God to be believed by man, and it wouldn't be very believable to people thousands of years ago if it would have read "On the sixth day, God turned an ape into a man". Maybe God took a creative liberty...?

for lack of better terms, I'll say (as fair as i can) the "faith" based right and the "rational" based left (and all the shade of gray in-between) are not really asking questions here ... mearly disguising our views in question and answer form ... I think we all know that these issue have, and will, be debated until the end of time ... but, does anyone really believe they are influencing anyone here?

I hope your answer is no. Do you agree that atheists and theists having conflicts is ridiculous when none of them hold the claim to truth?

Consider the following theory and let me know what you think. Opinions are appreciated.

'....The focus of social constructionism is to uncover the ways in which individuals and groups participate in the creation of their perceived reality.... '

I find the concept of atheism rather depressing, just look at the following athestic beliefs.

I only exist because of random chance, and when I die, I will cease to exist.
There no real distinction between us and any other animal other than being a bit smarter than the rest.
There is no reason or meaning to the universe, it just happened.

I am a Christian, I don't think that atheism would make me any happier, contented or fulfilled. I've read several atheistic books and not been convinced by the arguments against God.

Just because a person has faith in a higher presence does not make them stupid. Why would you believe if it weren't for God religious people would have no morals? What makes you think you have everything figured out? Some of the most hateful people on this site are atheist, but yet you think you are the ony ones with MORALS. I don't want to convert anyone, I don't care what you believe. Just don't assume everyone other than yourselves have no intelligence.

I have a friend who lives his life worry free. He could be about to run out of gas with no money on a busy highway in rush hour traffic and say "I'll pray about". Me, I would freak out and be scared I wouldn't make it to my destination. He tells me I lack faith all the time. It's to the point where I don't like him because he tells me that. I feel I have faith but I also feel he lives in "la-la" land while I'm in the "real" world trying to make it. We are both living pay check to pay check. I do worry about my bills sometimes. I love the Lord and I know he loves me. I feel like God helps people who help themselves. If you sit back and look to him for everything then your lazy( In my eyes). I've been going to church all my life, tithing and praying. How did I grow to have a life of un-faithful habits? Am I on the fast track to hell? Or is it that I never really had faith in the beginning?

Homosexuality does not fit within the perpetuation of species and there are many studies pointing to it being a disposition (not solely a choice). Does that make it wrong morally?

... I told you that- during last summer, at a Christian festival (Soul Survivor Week A) I went to a seminar about healing. At that time I had quite a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, picked up while playing football, with the high possibility of surgery. At the seminar we prayed and one lady, who did not me, had a picture of someone injuring their knee with goal posts in the corner of their eye, just like I did when I did it. Then a group of people prayed for my healing and one guy said, " Do you mind, Mike, if I spit on your knee?" This was a bit of strange request, but I realised that Jesus did some healings like this in the bible (Mark 7:31-35). So this guy spat on his fingers and rubbed it on my knee. After about a week, my knee was feeling better and I went for scans (again) to see if their was any new damage. In fact, it was healed!! This can only be Jesus as all medical things had been attempted but had not worked. What do you think?
