Many pastors/churhes hold the doctrine that the "rapture" (1 Thess. 4:14-17) will occur before the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24). But the Bible does not support this teaching.
look at the raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11:24):
"Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
You can look up all these Scriptures which speak of the resurrection in the last day:
John 6:39, 40, 44, 54.
having read to this point, you know the context is dealing with the born-again believers (saved). But let's go to John 5....
In verses 28, 29 we read, "Marvel not at this: for the our is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice {Christ's}, And shall come forth; they that have done good, to the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
The Bible tells us the last day is Judgment Day and both the saved and unregenerate shall be raised. The saved are raptured.
