for lack of better terms, I'll say (as fair as i can) the "faith" based right and the "rational" based left (and all the shade of gray in-between) are not really asking questions here ... mearly disguising our views in question and answer form ... I think we all know that these issue have, and will, be debated until the end of time ... but, does anyone really believe they are influencing anyone here?

Sometimes - yes. There is a seed planted. Someone sees something I write, even if it goes against the grain of the question and they begin considering something new.

Doesn't mean it happens often, but it makes me keep trying.

Only having 2 sides to an argument shows that the argument is pretty useless. It's not just left and right, Christian versus Free-Thinkers. There's plenty of other religions and other viewpoints.

Some people genuinely come on looking for answers and not just an argument..so I imagine they'll be the ones to 'benefit' or not, from an answer, depending on what that answer is!

If a Million Believers read the religion site and only 1 came to disbelieve it would be more than worth it.

sad that a basic ?/answer forum has turned into a childish blog

if you want discussion, go to a blog, otherwise give your opinion and move on.

Quid pro quo, only people who make themselves persona non grata are done. True Christians never give up because they are semper fidelis. e tu?
