The food will take care of itself, but there is so much spiritual need with these people. Some are not that smart, and need us to parent them.

How can we help?

A few millenia ago, people realized that Zeus, Odin and the likes didn't really exist, they were manifestations of their searching for understanding of this world. Christ, Mohmed, Buddha, were all mortal, but they shared a common ideology. It is the message not the messenger that needs to be embraced.

What is a sin? The question may be simple but can it be answered without refering to God.

I can restate my question in a different form. What is good and what is bad? If that is the case, who determines what is what? all of us can agree that killing is bad, but can we say that having sex (before marriage) is bad? Isn't that part of nature?

So what is a Sin?

i just want to be nutral, like jolie. why does every one think you have to be apart of a religion? its just another group to cause arguments and hate, separation and that sort of thing, i think if you really want to express love and kindness you wont need guidelines that start off by saying "obey me adn worship me", "now go love everyone else but not as much as me"--Gd
i think if you feel guilty about somthing thats punishment to yourself. guilt hurts adn so does the truth (it hurt you and the person you hurt) . i dont know, i just hate religion. let me know how you feel?

People who support the Pro-Choice movement claim because they support the "right" to choose weather or not to have their baby doesn't make them like the Nazis. Other than wearing a Nazi uniform or carrying a gun, please prove how this is so without using "I think" or "I feel".

Gah! With the people asking where we get our morals, you would think we lack parents or exposure to society...

My son is 18 months old - and he has not been Christened as I'm not a Christian and I believe that his faith should be his choice when he is ready.

But there are some Christians (including my mother in law) who've said that if he's not Christened and he dies - he will go to hell.

Is this fair and 'Christian'?

What is the eternal punishment for slacker Satanists? Says there's a Satanist, but really isn't into it. He fails to attend black masses regularly, doesn't perform enough sacrifices to the dark overlord, and is even nice to his neighbor. Now, a Satanist is already going to hell. So, for a bad Satanist, what's the eternal punishment - he goes to heaven instead!?

I think we should have a little friendly competition! Maybe we can make a save board?

Here is my idea. Each conversion gets you points! At the end of March, the winner gets the Save Award. It would be a very proud achievement! Personally, if I get it I'm going to put it in my son Amir's room!

The point system would be:

50 points for saving a muslim.
25 points for saving a atheist
15 points for saving a Jewish person.
10 points for "other"
2 points for saving a Mormon.

Ideas?

If you are right, then you get to spend eternity with Odin. But if you are wrong then you haven't lost anything.

My problem is that my best friend recently made friends with a guy that I don't really like. This guy drinks excessively, smokes a lot of pot, swears constantly, gets into fights, mooches off my friend all the time, and treats women like dirt (he's cheating on his girlfriend, women are just objects to him). Am I being a bad Christian by not wanting to be friends with this new guy? I know that Jesus spent time with all sorts of "sinners" during his life. I care about this guy as a fellow human being and I don't wish him harm or anything...I just don't want to be friends with a guy like him. My friend says that he's a fun guy to spend time with and that I should try to be his friend. My friend thinks that I'm too judgemental, but think I'm just calling it as I see it. Does that make me a bad Christian? Can I love my neighbor as myself and still not want to be friends with him?

Would it be better to give the homeless begging on the streets a bag with a complete meal in flip top cans, a short message of love and encouragement, and a self-adressed stamped reply postcard instead of just money?

This can be done on an individual basis or as a group project involving the entire family.

You would think they would leave those that believe in something greater than themselves to think what they want! Why are they posting such hate and poison? It must be a reflection of lack of morality( most have none, where would they get it since they have no one to give them guidelines?) and thinking they will not be accountable( they better hope they won't be, but Christians know better) that leads them to do this. Just my thoughts, what say you?

I want funny stories of marriage circumstance, odd vows, not a bummer like people getting married and then blowing themselves up, but cool funny tales of the weirdest marriage ceremony and marriage vows you've ever taken part in or seen. Yes, the title line IS true. I was married in a double-lobster ceremony (2 cooked lobsters exchanged between me and my husband) and the wedding guests then proceeded to devour the lobsters afterwards. This was part of a full-bore multiple-marriage ceremony Subgenius Devival in 1992. I am waiting for your Weird Tales!
