Gah! With the people asking where we get our morals, you would think we lack parents or exposure to society...

Some of you act like you landed on your heads, that's for sure. You claim that Christians are cruel and intolerant, but I've seen just as much viciousness and intolerance from the atheists on this forum.

I know that not all atheists are like that, and a lot of you (including the present company) are very nice folks. But you've got some seriously nasty people giving the rest of you a bad rep around here.

It would explain why I have such a fear of heights. Dropped from the sky onto this planet?... With all the hatred, arrogance, wars...? Hmm... come to think of it, it refers my mind back to a question asked the other day, about "intelligent falling". So... if we're dropped from the sky, does that support gravity or intelligent falling?

Sorry... I couldn't resist.

You are right. My fiance is atheist and I'm agnostic and people seem shocked when were are not drinking blood or something like that. Just because you dont believe in god or are unsure if there is this great religion does not mean you were raised in a cult and have no self respect.

God has written His moral code into our hearts. Of course Atheists know what is right and wrong. It is just that without God's standards we are left with human opinions about it. : )

What really scares me is that, apparently by their own admission, these people who accuse atheists of being without morals would themselves have no idea how to behave morally if they didn't have the Bible to tell them that "this" is right and "this" is wrong.

Personally, I do not believe atheists exist.

I should think that maybe this is what they would like us to believe that all things ultimately came from (chicken sandwhiches, gold bars, supercomputers, hand-knitted sweaters), from the stars and whatnot.

I truly feel sorry for those poor "atheists" being exposed to reality like that, it must be awful.

I was dropped on my head as a baby. Twice. My Mom and Dad both confessed to me, and hadn't to eachother.

Sorry...

I think that you are probably just a young and ignorant girl or at least very emtionally immature person. But the good news is that you still have time to learn.

Atheists are the ONLY ones with morals. We're nice because being nice is right. They're nice because they're scared that if they aren't they'll fry. Otherwise, the implication goes, they wouldn't be nice.

Hurrah us!

No, we're born, just like the rest of the world's population of the flawed human race.
