I've a gf for 18 mths then we broke up. She is a christian while i'm not. we have been happy(arguments occasionally) for 17 mths and suddenly she told me she wanted to break off with me because she doesn't wan to disobey GOD.

because there is this saying "we are not (according to scripture) to be unequally yoked, for what does light have in common with darkness? that's why she did that.

do u think it's very unfair for me? i didn't know about this at all until she told me the day we are going to break up. she asked me why i can't accept god's love? cause i find that i can't have the determination to go to church every weekend.

sometimes i wonder if she is too obsessed with god? go to church 2-3 times every week, her room all christian's stuffs, and now she wants me to be a christian. i didn't interfere her as a christian so i don't expect her to ask me to be one.

so now we broke up, should i let her go so that i won't be a burden that will spoil her relationship with god?

I saw yesterday in ABC news, about a man considering himself as Jesus Christ on earth. He looks like a latino guy, and wears a jacket with the number 666 on the right side. A kind of a new age guru with huge charisma. A catholic priest was interviewed by ABC saying that "He has a lot of people in his hands by now"

Any idea who is this man ?

I can't believe the amount of hate people have for God & Christians ... it really makes me feel sad! :(

I know that's what will happen because it says that in the Bible...but can't you all try to understand why we're so happy!? Ignoring all the religious ignoramuses (!) - a true Christian should emulate what God is like. Not push Christian faith onto other people...I agree with people when they get upset about religious people...but please understand not all Christians are like that!

Why did Jesus change water into wine instead of Mountain Dew? What is Jesus's problem with Mountain Dew? Is Mountain Dew not extreme enough for the King of Kings? What about MDX?

.... 'gift-giving' By God to OTHER of His people? Is it because we are constantly bombarded with the bible's reference to Jewish people as the "Chosen," or is it because Christianity is really the weaker of both?
And is there a possibility that we were ALL Jewish people in the beginning of time? It is rather difficult to believe that a truly loving God would bestow a select religious group as his favorite, forsaking all others. I mean HE IS GOD. We were all created in HIS image, were we not? Are there perhaps unknown or hidden books of the Bible that cast an equally bright and further revealng light on other people besides Jewish people.

(btw, I spent days reading the book of Ezekiel. It was quite an eye-opener. Strange. In many of my conversations with Jewish people I have yet to hear them speak of this book.)

After "The da Vici Code" they have begonen to find vast evidence that Jesus was buried like anyone else. I personelly as a Christian agree, because no religion ought to be based on lies.

Many of you say you can't believe something because the Bible is innacurate or full of contradictions (very few can find any true contradictionis). Why though is it less credible than your average History text book, or the writings of Pliny the Elder. The Bible seems to be the most scrutinized of all books, yet has NEVER been proved to either false or inaccurate. What gives?

My eight year old daughter Mirela came into the living room yesterday when me and the little woman were entertaining our Mormon friend Akbar.

She said "Daddy, I understand this whole Jesus thing now. It's like dog training".

At first I was offended. But just as I was about to take her doll's head off as punishment, she expanded her theory and it made perfect sense!

"I see grandpa training dogs all of the time. Some are nice but not too smart. Grandpa scratches them on the ear and shows them the right way to do things. These are atheeests. (She can't pronounce atheist yet. Cute)"

"Then I see Grandpa with the really mean dogs. He has to show them who is the papa, and who is in control. This is like the muslims. "

"And we are like Grandpa, giving our love to everybody".

I've never been prouder of my little girl. She is going to make some man very happy someday.

Ok. Since I am a Christian, I believe that you must be saved to go to Heaven..I have a question about the period before Jesus was sent to the Earth to be crucified. Obviously, there were generations of people that lived prior to Jesus coming to the earth to live and then die for all of our sin. What happened to the people who lived and died before Jesus came to the Earth, if they had never heard of Jesus and never were given the opportunity to be saved, as salvation apparently was not talked about until AFTER Jesus came and died for our sin? Did they all go to Heaven? Or did they all go to Hell? I am very confused about this; any insight (no rude or stupid comments please) would be appreciated.

Here at this site physicsmathforums(dot)com (link below) is a writting by Epsilon=One that claims to be a "Proof of God"

http://physicsmathforums.com/showpost.php?p=319&postcount=1

My Questions are,
#1) How much of the information on this page is actually relevant to proving what is asserted-claimed as proven?

#2) Do you think that the Avatar/psudeo-author proved what they claim to have proven?

This is costing me Five points so please it is a long (Boring) read so venture at your own risk, and answer only if you bother to read all of it.

Thanks

He also knows who will go to heaven and hell. So, if he knows already then how is it that we have a choice? They always say you have a choice, you have a choice but if God know right now if I'm going to heaven or hell then how can I change what he knows my future will be?
