Primo,
I since a mate with spirit of true soldier:

Hebrews 1:1-3
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Birdflies,
Yes, he spoke through Jesus (for Jesus and God are one) and he spoke through the Apostles. He speaks thru us however through his (witten) Word, the Bible. If you're implying that he speaks to us today directly, you're unfortunatey wrong, mate. If he does write it down and give to all of us so we all can see (hear)..............Yes?

Birdsflies,
I'm sorry brother, but that whole penacostal moment has a whole bunch of erroneous doctrine, and practices. But, look, to each his own. God bless you, brother.

Danielle,
Sorry for your limited understanding. Keep looking; you'll find the truth; just don't limit the TRUE God to science alone.
Sorry for the vail over your eyes concerning "all the different religions and deniminations" in the world. That's not God. You're not alone. Most people wear that vail. Remove the, vail open your eyes, and knock on THE door. There's only one that leads to THE truth. You just haven't found it; and can't believe that somebody else CAN..............Yes? I pray for you.

"God" speaks through science and nothing else but science.

Edit: The only unequivocal truth in this world is science. Religions disagree with each other, war with one another and interpret holy books in vastly different ways, in deeply important ways. If you think "God" would choose to communicate with mankind through imperfect, ignorant (or shall we say wisdom-impaired) ancient men and the myriad of interpreters, translators and biased men to follow, you don't have a very high opinion of "God's" intelligence. Wake up: the only way any real "God" could communicate is through scientific laws and discovery.

P.S. Oh come now. I converted and was a devout Christian for several years. I know precisely how the proselytizing mind works. I also know that all rational, thinking Christians have unreconciled doubts about the validity of their beliefs, where those beliefs define "God" as all too human. So many Christian beliefs belittle, pervert and insult "God". If you have to have the last word, take it. I know your faith goes only so far. Fortunately the real "God" is a lot more "forgiving" than that tiny, vindictive little deity invented by humans.

God spoke (directly) only to prophet moses,
other prophets were inspired by other means(like angel gabriel).

god spoken to all sorts of people through the holy books,

for example: god speaking to jews & christians in the Quran:

O people of the book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
( An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #171)

He also spoke unto the Apostles & any true believer. --------Just a little add on my answer, he also now speaks unto us by Jesus Christ. Or we can say The Holy Ghost.-----------------Jaydee, I can not write everything down on one space, But you question my saying that God does directly speak to us today, to give you an example, Friend, I can give you plenty example, but If you are a Christian Then God spoke to your heart as he did my one day. Now if you need more information, & I don't have the space & time to give it all to you go to www.williambranham.com & see if God did not speak directly.

God spoke to alot more than prophets -- but yes. And I'm sure he is truly trying to speak to people today -- but the majority of the world have closed themselves off to him.
