I want funny stories of marriage circumstance, odd vows, not a bummer like people getting married and then blowing themselves up, but cool funny tales of the weirdest marriage ceremony and marriage vows you've ever taken part in or seen. Yes, the title line IS true. I was married in a double-lobster ceremony (2 cooked lobsters exchanged between me and my husband) and the wedding guests then proceeded to devour the lobsters afterwards. This was part of a full-bore multiple-marriage ceremony Subgenius Devival in 1992. I am waiting for your Weird Tales!

primoa1970: just because my experience was in the "Church of Bob" doesn't mean I'm not looking for all kinds of stories. Don't limit it to just the one church. I'm looking for ALL churches, denominations, secular ceremonies, costume drama marriages, etc.. This isn't about the Church of Bob.

There was nothing unusual about my wedding, other than that it took place in a hotel room and there were only seven people there: me, the groom, my mother, my mother's boyfriend, my brother, the best man, and the justice of the peace.
