One is a description of deviation from the typical - i.e. a statistical statement. The other is a moral judgment and is based on whatever moral frame of reference is being used.
The people against homosexuals are generally reacting to change (societal acceptance of homosexuals) or because they feel their religion is under attack (bizarre as that mindset is).

It does not mean it's wrong. Life would be incredibly boring if everything was "normal." I've never been normal and I'm very happy with my life.
Many things do not fit in with the "perpuation of a species." We do not exist to reproduce. We are not brood mares to just pop out children.
(Didn't we already cover the choice to have children and families in the feminist movement?)

What is normal? Our hands have evolved as tool holders yet we use them to hit short and face onto a plastic keyboard. It is not normal and it causes illness in the form of RSI.
What is normal? Our distant ancestors did not use drugs (well not much) yet we use alcohol and tobacco as a legally sanctioned narcotic. they together cause massive illness, pain suffering and death.
What is normal? We have evolved to live in groupings ranging from 25 to 150 yet we live in metropolises of millions.
We are told that it is not natural to be sexually involved with our own gender./ However there is a great deal of film evidence of may animals being homosexual or at lest bisexual. There is also strong evidence that all humans are bisexual, it is socialisation that makes us Hetero or Homo.
So what is normal?

No, it doesn't make something (as per your question, homosexuality) wrong at all. It simply means to be different.

Of course not, no more than it is morally wrong to have a disability.

No.
Just because something is normal or common does not mean that it is right (self-centeredness of people)
Just because something is not normal or uncommon mean that it is wrong (men and women who devote their life to God)
