But of course! You can walk away completely, or just go to another room where the people are quite sane.
It's kind of freaky out there, though. In some rooms, people don't even VOTE! You look at all these answers, and not a one of them will have a thumbs down!
It takes some getting used to, but it's quite refreshing.

If you look at my answers, it gets to a point where you see questions from 1 month ago.....and the next one is from 5 months ago. I take time away allot. I have been on here more than usual lately, but that will change.......you know how it is.

When you're that upset or angry by someone else's words, Jim, then the only appropriate thing to do is to walk away. I've been scarce for that reason this past week, myself.
Give yourself a breather, and come back when your mind is clear and refreshed. 'Til then.

No..sometimes I get tired of seeing the same old crap, and have to take a break, and hope while I'm gone someone will ask something enlightening.

Of course it's appropriate.
It's even a really good idea, which I wish more people would follow when they find themselves too deeply affected by what is posted here.
Or when they turn nasty.
Of course, some people don't "turn" nasty, they just are.
