Is it insane for any Christian to consider himself not Jewish since Jesus was a Jew? Is it insane for a Christian to consider himself Jewish since the Jews reject Jesus? Is it insane for a Christian to care about the Palestinians?

The same reason any religion or non-religion is permitted. I think it would be a farce if God didn't allow us the freedom to make our own choices of worship.
I am grateful to the Jews for the bible. I certainly feel a kinship to them, though I probably don't have the bloodline or the religion of a Jew, which I think is generally what is considered a Jew.
We should all care about each other.

You need to read a bit more before asking such random questions.

Jews are lonely people. They believe they have no one who believes in their god and they distrust every other religion.
Christians are friends to the Jews. They believe in the same book of god – the Torah or the Old Testament. But the Christians don’t like the Moslems as they don’t believe in the same religion.
Moslems are friends to both the Jews and the Christians as they believe in the Torah the Bile and the Qur’an. They believe that the Torah and the Bible are both good books but has been changed over time and there fore cannot be held above the Qur’an.

But with most religion, it joins its members together and separates people of different religions. That’s why you have white Christian Nazis that hate Jews, Moslems, Buddhists etc etc and the same is for most other religions.

So, for your first question. - ‘Is it insane for any Christian to consider himself not Jewish since Jesus was a Jew?’

Jesus was a Jew, how vigilant of you. But just as some one can convert to Judaism, some one can leave it too. He left it and started Christianity. Remember, Judaism is not a country you are not born Jewish and remain Jewish for life. It’s a religion.

Your second question - ‘Is it insane for a Christian to consider himself Jewish since the Jews reject Jesus? ‘

It is insane to conceder yourself a Jew and a Christian. If you ONLY believe in the Torah, then you’re Jewish if you believe in BOTH the Torah and the New Testament, then you’re a Christian – Simple as.

Your Third Question
‘Is it insane for a Christian to care about the Palestinians? ‘
Christianity based most of its teachings on the individual. It emphasised personal ethical systems and empathy for your fellow man – of any religion.

Any Christian that sees what the Palestinians are going through and ‘feels’ nothing for their situation, is not much of a Christian.

Hope this helped

"Jewish" is both an ethnic group and a religion. One can convert to Judaism and be considered Jewish in some traditions, but not others. One can belong to the Jewish ethnic group (descended from Abraham) AND be a Christian. Being a Christian of a non-Jewish background will not make you Jewish, however.

In regards to the religion, Jesus was Jewish in both senses of the word.

Christianity as it is practiced now owes more to the mystery religions of Rome than it does to Judaism.

If you read about religions that were practiced in Rome before the Romans adopted Christianity, you will find myths about demi-gods who died and were resurrected, who were born of a virgin, who descended into the underworld, who were the product of a god and a mortal woman, etc. The structure of the church was modeled on the rituals and hierarchy of pagan religions.

Christians are not Jews. Jesus was a Jew, but when he told the Pharisees and the Sadducees that they were wrong, he was outcast. His followers became "Christians" and those who continued to follow the Sanhedrin were Jews. Modern Judaism, to the best of my knowledge, is similar to ancient Judaism. Christianity is not.

God permits Islam because we all have our agency. That is freedom to choose. He has one true church and the rest have evolved from men's misinterpretations.

It is not insane for us to care about our brothers and sisters. We are all children of God.

You can care about whom ever you want. Jesus was born a Jew, but he practiced Christianity. Judism is a religion. Being Jewish is race. I am an American and I am Christian. But, I could be an American and practice Judism. Race and religion are not neccesarily the same thing.

If you believe in God that religions speak about (with some variations in their message) you should also note onething.. You can not expect the same message of ethics to rule for all time in an evolutionary process - I mean man getting more and more refined over centuries - just like the lessons in science or maths are progressively increased in width and depth as the student goes to higher classes...

What God revealed to the Jews at one time, He improved in Jesus's time... there could be no controversy why Jesus spoke against the established religion (Judaism) since he revised and reinterpreted the codes of conduct for the people of his time...

At the time of Mohammad the Prophet also - note that the unlettered commoner that he was, he could speak of great and complex things - the messages intended for the people of his time was given..

You can look at it in a different way... God made the creatures including man in different colours... varied attributes (see the man in the desert and the one in the polar chill - braving two extremes)... eating differently, speaking different languages, finding joy in different past time and so forth..

Even so he was led to follow different ethical standards, just for the variety of it... All are essentially same in essence (inner significance)... So trying to call someone names just because he belongs to a different denomination in religion or language or race is foolish and such people - I hope you will not like to join the category - shall be fit to be grouped with pre-Jew civilisation only...!

Islam is the result of Abraham not believing that God would bless Sara and he with a child. He impregnated his maid. Later, the maid and her child, Ishmael were sent away to create Islam, and their role is to be a nemesis for the Jews for all time.

Mostly correct, last question out of sync. Study proves Ismael, and Esau descendents appear to be the 'judgement' of God, throughout OT. Arameans and Herodians....and Herod does impose the law of punishment of for man's sin on Christ.

Our Choice is grace or the law. According to the 'law', we are created dust, and are of little consequence to a God. 2+2=4.

Do you think highly of your own cat?

islam believes in the prophet mohummad, whom they believe was a conduit for god. they do not renounce christ or his status as the son of god, but rather view christianity as an immature religion, as their savior's life was cut short and jesus arguably had much more to say before his time was up. they feel that mohammad's teachings sort of pick up where christ left off. it is inherent in the nature of religion to create dichotomy (we're right, you're wrong)...all your other questions fall under this rubric
