The Hebrew word is 'av'. 'Abba' is an affectionate term for father, like saying 'papa' or 'daddy'.

When we speak of language, we say "Aramaic" or "Hebrew."

Jewish is not a language, it is religion, culture, nationality. Not really race.

The Aramaic word Jesus used was "Abba." I suspect there are other words. Although my father and mother's people both had Jewish, we did not speak Hebrew nor Yiddish for the last four generations. Many Central European Jews speak Yiddish, which is a language blended of Hebrew, German, Polish, Ukranian, Russian and other languages of the region. It has dialects.

While some would call my family Jewish, we called our father, "father" or Dad. My wife's family called the father "Vati."

They are right. Jesus called God "abba" but this is not quite the same as the word "father". It is a familiar form. It's what one would call their own father, like "Papa"

"Jewish" is not a language.

In Hebrew, the word is ""av" - pronounced "ahb".
