Existence is there to enjoy life without forgetting the source of existence.
Whenever source of existence is forgotten, sooner or later misery envelopes the soul.

If one doesn't realize one's self identity and relationship with the Lord, but simply rotates from one body to another like will-o'-the-wisp, it is simply waste of time.
It is just like a donkey keeps running with heavy load with the allurement of eating carrot hung in front of it on a stick.
Lord Jesus Christ said in the Bible that there is no profit for a man even if he gains the whole world but does not realize his own soul.

It is what you make of it. Life is a journey, not a destination.
