My dreams are repetitive and even include different styles of flight. One night I'm flying like superman, the next I'm flapping my arms like a bird, and the next I'm floating like Peter Pan. This has occured since I was a child, and I always awake feeling refreshed. Nobody else in my dreams can fly. Am I the only one that experiences this?

beautiful dreams
Dreams of flying are common and most people can recall having flown in a dream or two. There are many ideas as to what this means. Some people believe that flying in our dreams can be an actual out of body experience, that we go to places on this physical plane as well as into the inner planes (mostly the Astral). Carl Jung's idea was that in a flying dream we are expressing our desire to break free of restrictions and limitations. We have a desire to be free and above all difficulties! Alfred Adler thought that this dream was a type of a superiority dream in which we reveal the desire to dominate and be above others. Focusing on the libido, Freud thought that flying was another way to express sexual desires. The details of your dream will give you clues as to what it symbolizes, if your dream was a spiritual experience or ego based.

Yep all of the time. I usually dream that I can not maintain a constant flight, instead I thrust myself with a mighty jump off the ground and remain airborn for a few minutes before landing back to the earth. Everyonce in a while I do dream of flapping my arms to achieve limited flight. I wonder if it is related to distant ancestral species we evolved from.

I took a dream analysis class and it said that flying dreams mean that things are going right in your life and you feel secure. Where as falling dreams are insecurity and fear.

And yes i have had flying dreams.

Its odd for me. I never fly in my dreams, only fall. except when I have a lucid dream, as soon as I realize I'm dreaming I say to myself "this is just I dream, I can do whatever I want!" even fly. which I can't do in normal dreams. odd.

yeh !sometimes I'm having fun and then sometimes I scared out of my britches. I fly and I've got control, then there's one where I'm in a swing and it get's completely out of control. That's the one that drives me crazy. I've tried to control my dreams by taking charge , sometimes I can do it, sometime I can't.

I only did once.
I dreamt God talked to me and said, "if you have faith in me you can do anything" I said, "Ok I want to fly" and off I went. Went slow, then started to drop and God said, "Have faith" then i went off again. Then I went fast and did flips in the air.
It was really fun.
You are lucky to have these dreams

How weird. Why not pray about it? I can't interpret dreams like Joseph did. In fact, it was the power of God which did.
