I think some people lost me here, i will clarify again how religion is the reason of my sad and pathetic life, i was born in a religious family, i have never ever chosen to be a follower of that religion, apostasy means death penalty , the same goes for homosexual people (LGBT = Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered people) i already received threats! if there was no religion i won't face these problems in this age, and i'm completely alone :(

This is weird. Religion ruined my life too. I was slapped by nuns. I asked questions that pissed them off. When my dad died I wanted him cremated in a nice urn. I was so drug up by sedatives the family took it upon themselves to make the arrangements behind my back and I had a notarized affidavit stating his wishes and they ripped it up. They were so happy at the wake and funeral it sickened me to the point of almost attacking my uncle if two men didn't hold me back. My dad and I were very close. When my parents divorced I went with him. I am also an only child which makes me have total control of the funeral. My father was my best friend. It will be six years on the 24 of this month that he passed on. I did have him exhumed and cremated and now he is with me. NOT buried next to those evil hypocrites who destroyed me life. The Catholic religion ruined my life and I hate them all now. The worst thing is that these religious people do NOT care about our lives being destroyed and not only that they shove their beliefs down your throat and say mean vile things which goes against what they preach. I believe in Jesus but that does not mean I have to like him.

Dear Silence,
My life is challenging but not miserable.
I don't have a "religion" because religion is manmade.
I do have a Relationship with the Author of life and that has made all of the difference.
By any chance have you ever heard of Charles Haddon Spurgeon? I've been enJOYing much of his writing ever since my life fell apart at the seams more than 15 years ago. This morning's devotion in Morning and Evening is based on Acts 14:22 "We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."
Youth can be tough but hang in there. The awesome uncreated Creator of the universe is not to blame but false religion is. Put your hand in the heavenly Father's and let Him guide you through the minefield of this life. I've been doing just that and have discovered that I am now grateful for the miserable events that caused me to draw near to God.

No faith ruined anyones life.
A lot of people use religion to get there own way and force gullable folk into doing things they would not otherwise do.
The ongoing war in Northern Island and that in the middle east have nothing to do with the true faiths in those areas.
They are still both run by criminal empires getting rich on the control of drugs, guns, prostitution and the violent control of their own communities.
Do not believe the media, when they tell you everything is as amoral and depraved as they are.
There are an uncountable number of kind, supportive, generous and genuine folk all around us, many have a deep and genuine faith. Get into the right company.

I am sorry that you seem to be so angry and possibly afraid of something. It is such a shame to think what religion can do to our lives, but you need to be strong minded and not let it ruin things for you..I am very happy with my religion (Wicca), but i know of many people that are not happy with thier religion and they have been forced to follow thier paths by thier parents usually. Something i do not agree with at all. We have children, and we leave them to think and decide for themselves where religion is concerned. You do not say what threats you are having or problems. Hold your head up high, and believe in yourself. Follow your heart in whatever you do. Not all religions are bad and forceful. Many are understanding, but there is no rule at all that says you must follow one. You need to speak to a very understanding person, perhaps seek counselling, as they are none judgemental, empathic, sympathetic and have a great understanding of problems. I am not here to prove Gods exsistance to you, nor am i here to preach to you about Wicca, something i follow. You will only believe in what you want to believe......and as i said earlier, that should be yourself. I really hope you manage to sort things out hun, you do seem very distressed. I wish you all the best.
Blessings

I can relate to you. I know some religion can pull you in the wrong direction. You need to talk to your parents or someone who is religion ask them for their opiopin and ask other people the same question. When ur done asking people about their religion belief. Do your own research! Find things on your own to prove if their right or wrong.
If you follow this world then u will be in alot of trouble b/c this world is goin to end one way or another. People who have alot of money have problem. People who are broke have lots of problem. You need to find out, who are u here for, the world or something above all this?

It's hard to answer this question....it sounds more like a plea for help...I don't know what has happened to you in regards to religion but I assure you religion itself it not the villain....be careful who and what you choose to follow....as for the question at the top of the page...I am not overall miserable...I have times that are harder than other times and my faith has always seen me through to better times...it has never added to my misery....BTW you can email me or message me on here...I take responsibility for my answer's and will be glad to hear from you....good luck
I have followed the links you provided and I am sorry you have had so much trouble...

Religion
is a support system to a particular brand of spiritual faith or belief
---------It is NOT however, the faith or belief itself--------
For if it IS---- then one is focused on a false god and is bellieving a lie !! Satan is the father of lies and the author of confusion !! Satan is VERY MUCH into the business of religion !!! It is the place, in fact, that he does his most creative work !!
Religion in it's best form-- turns one's eyes toward the Father
In it's corrupted state it uses God to turn one's eyes to itself !!
Is there any wonder that religion can and does create so much hatred and division within the world ---and is the center of so much of the world's controversies and strife--- for what better place for Satan to be more effective in his work of seperating mankind from the Father !! His deceptions can go covertly into overdrive as he creates war and confusion in the name of God !!!

But what you say about religion may be true, but God has really helped me out through difficult times. If you just need someone to talk to i'll be here to listen. Hope you write to me.

Prayer support coming right up, Silence. God knows all our needs, our fears, our worries. Bypass the Religion bit and go straight to the man at the top. My life was miserable before God found me - now I can put my trust in Him. God bless you and keep you safe.

I don't have a religion. Religion is mind control, it was made up by man to control people, it is nothing more than fairytale fantasy clap trap. If only all these stupid religious crack pots would stop trying to convert me in to their belief.
