I don't ever recall doubting that a man named Jesus existed (actually quite a few existed, as it was a common name). What is in doubt is that he was the Christ and was the "Son of God". It stands to reason that most of the creators of the assorted religions existed, i.e. Mohammad, Buddha, Tao, Confucius, the Bob, etc.
This quote:
On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald . . . cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy."{21}
Has been quoted several times on this board, strangely with different wording. It would be interesting to get the accurate wording as it gives a significantly different version of Christ's execution, i.e. he was arrested for at least 40 days before passover, and his execution was announced. The web site author tries to explain this away, but his explanation is rather contrived. An interesting omission is any reference to the Temple curtain being torn, ripped, or destroyed. It is reasonable to expect that this would have been a noteworthy event, even if they had no connection to Jesus's "hanging" or stoning.
All in all, I'd say yes there was a man who catalyzed a religion, but as events such as the Star, Temple curtain, 3 hour darkness, earthquake were never recorded by any other contemporary author, not even as isolated events from the Crucifixion, places the NT in doubt.

All three of the outside mentions at least two generations after the fact. There is no outside direct documentation of Jesus at all. Even the few scraps that there are show that no one else was very impressed.
Look there probably was a guy with that name who was a Rabbi. That is a huge distance away from making him god.
I could point to a few problems too. Mary was in in Bethlehem for a census when he was supposed to be born. There is no Roman record of this at all. There should be, it was a CENSUS. The whole point would have been to make records.

Jesus is Lord - Excerpt from "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)
Jesus is Lord, yet mankind insists on calling Him everything else…
"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."

Truly, I've met few people who deny Jesus ever walked the earth. These folks tend to be quite irrational, rejecting outright direct evidence to the contrary. All reputable historians -- whether Jewish, atheist, or whatever -- believe Jesus was real. They draw upon sources such as the ones listed on the ministry site you linked us to.

Even though there is no incontrovertible proof that Jesus lived, I accept that it's likely such a person did live, though I doubt that the Christian scriptures are an accurate record of what he said and did. They have been embellished with superstitious incidents (miracles) and facts altered to convince people that Jesus fulfilled the ancient Jewish "prophecies."

This info is a good resource. But real belief is a gift. It is given you to know. No amount of intellectual analysis will get you there. The non believers will strive through ego and intellect and will never arrive at belief because they have to deny God to be a god in their own mind.

I had to revise my answer after looking at the web page. Notice that it does give references; check it out. If it did not give references then it would be just anybody's claim.
The historicity of Jesus was never challenged until the late 1700's and there are historical references to Jesus outside the Bible.

Yes I do. God is real, and He sent His Son to save us. He rose again. I believe no matter what twisted theory they come up with next. There is always an opposing argument.

I've never denied that the MAN jesus was real. The son of god though...now that I don't believe.
And why is it every time someone whats to prove something like religion they use extremely biased information?
**and here's something right from your website
The Christians . . . worship a MAN to this day--the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account. . . . [It] was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws.
