No, resistance is not futile. By this I mean that in the end, you will not be forced to worship God.
However, on the day of Judgment, you will be held responsible for your choice. I may be presumptuous here, but based on the name you chose for yourself, I will assume that you will be among that sad lot who will cower before the Great White Throne and will confess that Jesus is Lord just before being eternally separated from God.
He came once as the Lamb, the sacrifice. When He returns it will be as the Conquering Messiah that the Jews have been looking for.
I could quote chapter and verse as evidence, but you probably do not beleive in the Word to begin with so I won't waste your time.
I'm sure you will have leisure to produce some whitty responses, but in the depths of your mind and heart, the words you have read will echo even as you deny it.
I wish you well. And when times are worst in your life, you will still be welcome to turn to Him. He will not turn you away.
