Jesus always taught that we should forgive the sinner but never to
condone sin, yet when you point out sinful behaviours (Which we all are sinful human beings) people say No one has the right to judge? If that's the case where do you draw the line of what can or cannot be judged?

If I were to imply you were a sub-human, and ask you to submit to Thor, and that Thor was God, and that there would be a punishment to you if you did not submit to Thor

what would be your reaction?

Would you find my question absurd? Does my hypothetical question that I am not asking but asking about violate the yahoo answers community standards?

Additionally, in the hypothetical scenario, I have no proof of the existence of Thor, just a book written by an illiterate peasant from 1400 years ago, does that knowledge influence your decision?

Would someone care to discuss what it is all about to be an atheist? I am a member of a messageboard where there is a religion forum. Would you believe that most of the screen names belong to atheists? Atheists don't believe in God but they spend loads of time discussing religion. What's up with that? They flood the forum with their hang ups on Christianity and there reason for not believing in God. The reasons are usually selfish and whiny. Is this normal behaviour for an atheist or are these people really just crazy, depressed, and unfulfilled. It really paints a bad picture of an atheist.

I love the thought of Buddhism but I'm too selfish according to my girlfriends. It's a colourful way of life, and practising Buddhists are happy folk in general. Buddha looks like a fun guy too

When a child is sexually abused, more often than not they think it's their fault? It can seem like there is no other answer, even though it's so obvious that they were an innocent victim of a horrible person.

Now if those victims can think something that is so obviously wrong, don't you think it might be time to question what you are sure of?

Can you please explain to me the following from the Bible:

Corinthians 14:34-35 (King James Version) -
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Given that Christianity is a grouping of rules made by people, written down by other people and then manipulated by even more people, are there any arguements for believing in the Biblical God which do not come down to blind faith?

Surely if the big man existed it would be a far nicer place on earth if he did a weekly address to the planet or something? The fact that this does not happen suggests he does not exist or if he does he really does not give a damn.

OK. First, let me say that some people who read this may not believe that we were created by a divine being. That's fine. Don't answer. Second, some people may say that we can't KNOW what's in God's mind. That's fine, too. I'm not asking why God created us. I'm asking why YOU think God created us.

So many of you didn’t answer my question (I suspect it is because you didn’t read the whole thing or you missed the point). There are many spots in the Old testament that are said to have predicted Jesus, but they are not very specific, so no one could have possible copied from the old testament to get a Jesus like figure (so that’s not an acceptable answer). It seems most likely to me, that the Jesus myth was copied from the many pagan gods.
