Read Daniel 9:24-27 on this link http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/kjv/dan009.htm According to many people this passage refers to the antichrist and he will rule for 7 years. I have a big problem with this. To me it makes perfect sense that it is talking about Jesus. Jesus was crucified after 3 1/2 years of preaching. I personally believe the prophecy was fulfilled. I don't believe it is talking about the antichrist. What do you think? Also if you think the antichrist wil rule 7 years explain why.

I'm a born again Christian who routinely studies the Bible. I know about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. Ques for those who have scripture based knowledge here only! I attend a Pentecostal church and have discerned the messages I hear every Sun. with the Bible - right on! But I personally have never received the gift of Speaking in Tongues that some believe is testimony that you are born again. And yes, I've asked the Lord. I'm unsure if this is a gift for us today? If it is, why not me? I know people that fake it as they speak in tongues without an interpretation for us to hear. But then again we will have this in the world of humans. Please ans with scripture back up. Thanks!

My opinion is that it means that man and woman will have children that will have "the fathers nose and the mothers eyes".
This is pretty simple but I don't believe that any of you have heard this explanation.

I've been really interested in Buddhism, but the one thing that I really cannot get past is hating bugs and killing them. They can be dangerous, even deadly. How do Buddhists feel about micro-organisms? I know I shouldn't kill any living thing, any suggestions?

I need scriptures to help lead my uncle in the right direction. I don't mean to judge, but at times he can be selfish. He in some way teases people who are struggling in life. Showboat, flashes money around, yet he calls himself a child of God or a preacher.

I discussed with my wife this weekend the Alphabet. The alphabet is properly A B C D E F etc. She explained several reasons why this sequence is important, including the reason a standard for learning. This prompted my above question, is there a specific purpose to the sequence of books in the Bible?

I have obsessive Compulsive Disorder and I do many things, like I check the coffee pot all day long because I keep thinking is on.
But I am a christian and I am taking medication for the ocd and I pray often about it.
I also get very weird and obsene images often in my head, part of my disease. So when I am praying and I close my eyes the images are there.
I feel like I am disrespecting God by this but I can't avoid it. I try hard and God knows I love Him, I just would like to be normal and not have this.
WHat would you suggest? or opinions
I am very upset by this. can anyone relate?

I'm a Hindu, I believe the cobra is sacred. It is non different than Sri Lord Shiva. I was a snake charmer's cobra in a past liife. I really love cobras. I would like to reincarnate, and be a cobra in India, in a cobra temple (spending my days in bliss, coiled around the deity of Sri Lord Shiva). I don't believe this animal birth would be a waste of an incarnation. Would it help if I said prayers to the Sacred Cobra? Or meditated on Sri Lord Shiva's Cobra? Could Sri Lord Ganesha answer my prayer? I'm very serious about this. I was also a cobra worshiper in a past life. I felt great bliss worshiping the cobra. I also felt the presences of Sri Lord Shiva in the cobra. I believe if I were a cobra, in a cobra temple, or at a cobra festival (nag panchami); I could experience the bliss again. I think it would be good karma, because I would help the devotee to experience Sri Lord Shiva. Please, only serious answers, from Hindus. Thank you very much.

What is the difference between contentment and laziness?

What do you think, can a person be truly content without a degree of laziness? A few random thoughts….
---------------
I lost most of my baby fat (the fat you gain from having babies) last year. I'm still over the weight I ought to be at, but I'm content enough to quit dieting. Or is that lazy enough?
---------------
We are also often content to believe what we have been taught without researching it for ourselves. There are of course things we cant do ourselves (like working on digs to find if there is evidence of Moses/plagues in Egypt) But we can all read.
---------------
We all see things that need improvement around us (social injustices, the educational system, the way oil riches are distributed in 3rd world countries etc) Often these things seem to big for one person to make much difference. So since they are not directly causing us great pain, we can be perhaps sad but content to watch at a distance.

1. What % of the world's population Actualy believes in God(s)?
2. What % of your country's population Actualy believes in God(s)

Before you ask-

What I mean by Actualy believe in God(s) is this.
Eliminate all the people who are agnostic, Atheist , and people who kind of say they are but actually never really think about it. People who for all points and purposes dont worry about it and see it as a very light matter. Apathetic.
Then guess what % of the populace is left.

I will give an example , but its going to be just random so nobody spends there answer whining that I have some Biased or loaded motivations.

1. 44%

2. 68% USA

Before Christians start saying this is fake wouldn't it be intelligent to wait until the actual documentary is shown before saying its fake. I myself am not just going to rush judgement about this until i do some research of my own. Here is a reccomendation
1. Get a notebook, take notes, write down names of "Scholars,Archeologists"
2. watch the documentary
3. Anyone they interview do your own backround check on
-check for bias
-check accuracy of statements made in the Documentary
- review all opinions
-Review History
Does anyone else think that this would be wise before just claiming its not real because of your beliefs? I mean many biblical scholars agree that the Bible cannot be used as an accurate historical document. Wouldn't it be wise to watch the show first before ripping it apart with things you have read on bias websites?

I heard this asked on the radio Friday night and one Lady was really irate that the Lord was being used in such a way. The host however said he wouldn't buy one but if someone gave him one as a gift he'd accept it and set it on his desk as a conversation starter. My dad agreed and said it's a way to get the name of Jesus out there and get people talking about Him. So here is the question....do you think Jesus Bobble-heads are a good idea? Why or Why not? Would it offend you if someone gave you one as a gift.

Possible Big Dilema. Been with boyfriend for 2 years. We live together. I have full custody of MY 2 kids by ex boyfriend. I was raised Methodist, with all the holidays, birthdays, ect. His entire family are Jehovah Witnesses. We all get along great. He was raised as a JW, but after he got moved out of the house, he never went. When we got together, I was happy that he did not want to pursue being a JW. I figured that we are both not TOO religous, and it's never brought up any problems.
Well, recently he's held an interest in becoming a JW again, citing that it's the RIGHT thing to do for his family, that the man, as head of household, should show his family the "right way".
Well, I am not okay with becoming a JW just because he was, and wants to join again. I was raised as a Methodist, and dont really want to PUSH the notion of "You should pray and believe what I believe" while I knock on peoples doors!! Nor do I want to completely disown anything I've taught my kids about God..Help!

James Cameron is right now as I type this speaking a presentation about a documentary on his "enlightenment" that he has discovered the tomb of Jesus, the messiah and his wife, and son. What do you think about this?

I know what *I* think so I am not looking to be attacked. I am truly interested in YOUR opinion on it and what you think the ramifications of this information presented by Mr. Cameron could do to our world?

Thanks!

I know that it only gets worse before the time of His coming...How can we protect ourselves, our children and people we love from the horrendous plight of evil that bombards us each and every day. I bathe my family in prayer, make sure that they are knowledgeable of the truth in the bible. What else can we do as Christians to stay sane? Suggestions?
Just need a little uplifting today. So I'll ignore all the answers that don't pertain to my question. Help Fellow Christians I need prayer today!!!
