What is the difference between contentment and laziness?

What do you think, can a person be truly content without a degree of laziness? A few random thoughts….
---------------
I lost most of my baby fat (the fat you gain from having babies) last year. I'm still over the weight I ought to be at, but I'm content enough to quit dieting. Or is that lazy enough?
---------------
We are also often content to believe what we have been taught without researching it for ourselves. There are of course things we cant do ourselves (like working on digs to find if there is evidence of Moses/plagues in Egypt) But we can all read.
---------------
We all see things that need improvement around us (social injustices, the educational system, the way oil riches are distributed in 3rd world countries etc) Often these things seem to big for one person to make much difference. So since they are not directly causing us great pain, we can be perhaps sad but content to watch at a distance.

Sure there is a big difference. You could be a total workaholic and still be content. I think that being content often leads to laziness, but it doesn't have to.

Here is a personal example- contentment is being joyful and ok with where you are, if you are supposed to be int that position. More explanation- my husband is physical disabled and cannot work- he has learned to be content, even when the finances and pain he has gets REALLY bad. I too have a health problem that keeps me from working full time. Laziness would be if we chose not to work- we cannot so contentment is an attitude we need to chose to have.
