No....historically, the Jews have floundered. When they followed God's Word, He protected them. When they didn't...He allowed pagan nations to attack them and cause havock.
Right now...there's plenty of havock.....because of the lack of faith in Jesus Christ.

many other places had a belief in god concurrently or even before the middle east. even as a jew, i will not sign on to the idea that israel is the center of the spiritual universe. to your question of why it is not a peaceful place - that is due to the fact that people in power use religion to advance their own selfish goals, look at what the "founding fathers" in the u.s. did to the native americans, who are very spiritual, all in the name of freedom of religion.
that is why there really must be no god in a utopian society. sure, people should and can have personal belief systems, but religion should never be indoctrinated into us by our governments. marx speaks in depth on this fact in his communist manifesto, if you would like to learn more about this theory.

No because the idea of god is violent. I mean heres gods word for example. For this is what the sovereign Lord says:" Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and rejoiced with intense scorn over the land of Israel, take note, I have stretched out my hand against you, and I will hand you over as plunder to the nations. I will cut you off from the peoples and make you perish from the lands. I will destroy you; then you will know that I am the Lord.’” I mean damn thats violent.

What is with this word peace.
It seems to be coming up a lot today.
Peace, peace.
The world has never had complete peace, ever since man has been here.
Man is not peaceful.
Man is agressive.

Good question, yes it should be but many believe that when there is peace in the Middle East it signifies the second coming. And so many Christians argue that this is the reason for the conflicts in this area/

On the contrary. Satan makes his most vicious attacks on areas and people where God is working. That is one of the reasons that I believe the USA is in for a lot of trouble in the near future. For the past hundred years or so, we have moved away from our belief in God and have chosen many paths that are just fine with Satan. Now however, there is coming a rebirth of faith in this country and we can expect further attacks on those beliefs.

The Middle East is a perfect example of what happens when people follow false teachings and prophets instead of Jesus The Christ and the Word of God.
May God Bless you.

No, because people started coming up with other versions of G-d's word and claiming them as the one true faith, and they are trying to kill the Jews. The Jews are quite tired of being killed off so aren't just laying down anymore. Hence, violence.
