Does the God of love really roast people forever? What happens when we die? Can someone watch over us from heaven? Can we be haunted? What has God done for us to make for eternal happiness?

Do the Old Testament and the New have any differing opinions about listening to other views of the world and other religions? Is there anything in the OT that would prevent a believer from accepting the New Testament?

I often wondered why the nuns I had in school wouldn't talk about what the Orthodox faith was all about. I had an uncle who was Orthodox, and when I'd bring it up to the nuns, they would ignore me. Either they couldn't answer me because they didn't know what Orthodoxy was all about, or they knew that Catholicism was all wrong and just wanted me to not bring it up. I just want to know if anyone else had an experience like this. All I know is that when you compare all the crazy changes in the Catholic Church to the zero changes in the Orthodox Church (going all the way back to the time of the apostles!) it's doesn't take a rocket scientist to see there's a problem.

Are there any parts of the bible you keep from them until they are older?
If so, which part/s, and how old do your children have to be before they can read the whole bible?

The 1st amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It seems to me that marriage is, at its heart, a religious establishment. The history of marriage seems to confirm this as well. Marriage is also historically beneficial.

Is marriage unconstitutional?

If you think it's constitutional, please explain in terms of the 1st amendment.

If you think it's constitutional, please comment on what should be done.

I am from Jamaica and I hear all this stuff about America being land of the Free...?? If you were all free, why can't a gay couple get married? Yeah its against the bible but if your Free - You should be able to believe in what you want to believe in - It seems to me that you have to follow the bible and there is nothing wrong with that but what about people that dont follow it?!? If you were the land of the free shouldn't you be able to marry who ever you want - I don't understand - Don't think that I am bashin the US because I have been there and it IS a wonderful place but somethings I just don't understand. Oh and what about smoking pot?? Thats a natural thing - ???

(Yes) or (still working on) on this question. You can look this up if you like 1John 5:13.
Have you come to a place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you were to die today, you would go to heaven, or is that something you would say you're still working on?

I know for certain that I have eternal life and you can have it also.

Before you can share with us how you know, answer another question. Then tell us why or what you think?

Suppose your were hit by a truck, you actually died. The next thing your see is an Angel with the Book of life, and then you saw God in all his splender. You steped forward and asked the Angel, is my name in the Book of life, and God thunderd out a question directly to you. "Why should I let you into My heaven? How would you respond? What would you say?

Before I pick the best answer remember all religions have their own man-made ideas. There is only one way, and one idea that is with out a shadow of a doubt, correct. Give it try
