The similarities between the Christian character and the Indian messiah Krishna number in the hundreds, particularly when the early Christian texts now considered apocrypha are factored in. It should be noted that a common earlier English spelling of Krishna was “Christna,” which reveals its relation to “Christ.” Also, in Bengali, Krishna is reputedly “Christos,” which is the same as the Greek for “Christ” and which the soldiers of Alexander the Great called Krishna. It should be further noted that, as with Jesus, Buddha and Osiris, many people have believed and continue to believe in a historical Krishna. The following is a partial list of the correspondences between Jesus and Krishna:
--Krishna was born of the Virgin Devaki (“Divine One”) on December 25.
--His earthly father was a carpenter, who was off in the city paying tax while Krishna was born.
--His birth was signaled by a star in the east and attended by angels and shepherds, at which time he was presented with spices.
--The heavenly hosts danced and sang at his birth.
--He was persecuted by a tyrant who ordered the slaughter of thousands of infants.
--Krishna was anointed on the head with oil by a woman whom he healed.
--He is depicted as having his foot on the head of a serpent.
--He worked miracles and wonders, raising the dead and healing lepers, the deaf and the blind.
--Krishna used parables to teach the people about charity and love, and he “lived poor and he loved the poor.”
--He castigated the clergy, charging them with “ambition and hypocrisy . . . Tradition says he fell victim to their vengeance.”
--Krishna’s “beloved disciple” was Arjuina or Ar-jouan (Jouhn).
--He was transfigured in front of his disciples.
--He gave his disciples the ability to work miracles.
--His path was “strewn with branches.”
--In some traditions he died on a tree or was crucified between two thieves.
--Krishna was killed around the age of 30, and the sun darkened at his death.
--He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven “in the sight of all men.”
--He was depicted on a cross with nail-holes in his feet, as well as having a heart emblem on his clothing.
--Krishna is the “lion of the tribe of Saki.”
--He was called the “Shepherd of God” and considered the “Redeemer,” “Firstborn,” “Sin-Bearer,” “Liberator,” “Universal Word.”
--He was deemed the “Son of God” and “our Lord and Savior,” who came to earth to die for man’s salvation.
--He was the second person of the Trinity.
--His disciples purportedly bestowed upon him the title “Jezeus,” or “Jeseus,” meaning “pure essence.”
--Krishna is to return to judge the dead, riding on a white horse, and to do battle with the “Prince of Evil,” who will desolate the earth.

It is said that they both were embodiments of the Lord, ..... but we all are.. ... It is said that we are made in his image, which means that we are smaller versions of the Supreme Lord ... some of us are bigger embodiments than others, and we all have different qualities....
When you get right down to it, who really DOES know? And....does it matter, especially if it brings about contention and disagreement?
Better just to be devoted to the Lord and forget these endless squabbles ....
Peace & Love

both were mythological characters. the similarity ends here. Since Lord
Krishna was born earlier , perhaps later he reincarnated as a human, Jesus to preach the people on the other side of the world also....

There will always be similarities between the authentic and the counterfeit. Jesus prophesied future events that came to pass--thus proving His Godhead. He stated categorically, that HE was the ONLY way to the Father.
Krishna never prophesied, and is not the way to God.

Absolutely nothing .Their teachings were also different .Lord krishna counsels Arjuna to fight those following adharna and destroy them even if hey happen to be your blood realtuions , father , grand father , cousins , brothers etc and establsih the path of dhrma and protect the innocents .He advised him to perfornm his duty without expection of the fruits of his action , that is without any consideraion for the result of this action, as a sacrifice to the God .He exhatrs all to perform thier duties like wise.without fear or favour. he has expalained the nature of God , he creation , sustenance and the annihilation of the universe in such a manner that it amazinbgly corresponds to the result of the scientific research of the cosmologists of the present day.He has explained that wisdom of the highest order is the abode of god and that it is attainable only through the mastery of the senses and practice of yogas .he has explained differnet kinds of yogas for people of different levels of attainments .To capit all he has specifically stated that anyman who worships any deity with real devotion and calls God by any name that pleaseth him shall attain solvation.these things are totally opposed to the teachings of Jesus , who said that salvation can be attained only through him and all other worship is devil's worship.Jesus has ner said that mastery of the senses is essential for any one to dicipline himself for attaining the highest level of wisdom. Jesus said that he would pardon the sins of his belivers . whre as lord krsihna said that every one is accountable for his action and that he is not responsible for the actions of the individuals .Jesus asked his followers to show the right cheek to one who slaps them on the left cheek. In that case the christians shouyld be showing one more twin towers to Osama who destroyed the WTC and given him another 3000lives to be destroyed.but the chritian world followed the advice of Lord krishna and went seeking for him to be destroyed, Christ canbe no where near Lord Krishna by any standard .the only similarity is that they both like you and me too, were born human beings , jesus was born in a cattle shed and Krsihna was born in a Jail.krsihna had his fahter and Jesus did not have a father as nobody knows who his father was. Krishna reealked that the space and unverse is the form of god and Jesus never said what god was like and did not show god toany one , even to this own diciples .Christians seem to believe that god has no shape , but Moses in his book genesis which forms he basis of the bible ,. that god made man ion his own image thus revealing that God has the shape of man. Lord krishna was beleived to be an avatar of Mahavishnu , one of the three pricipal god of the Hindu theology. But Jesus never claimed to be one like that .Jesus died on the cross and krsihna could not be killed by any demon or devil or any force .Krsihna can be found in any animate and inanimate being , including Jesus also according to his own words and Jesus can not be found in anybody else except his own person .So Krsihna is omnipresent .Jesus is not omnipresent as christianity does not consider that God can be present in everything and anything .just like Krsihna whom you can belive to be present in idols too.
So the only similarity between the two is that eachof them is considered to be Gods by people of some religions which are dissimilar in thier philosophies .
