I am being serious here and not trying to upset anyone, but I find so many questions on here or comments that state or question the existence of Jesus. I challenge you to "try Hiim" this way: i.e. "Jesus, I don't really think you exist, but I'm going to try you out. If You are real, please show me in an evident way by answering this prayer". Then ask Jesus for something realistic and probably a minimal request. Promise Him that just for today you will listen. Some examples might be: direction in looking for a job, direction in how to deal with a hard relationship, something in your life that is bothering you. If you tease and test Him you will get the opposite of what you want, probably, maybe not today, but later. So be sincere if you really want to know. Just a thought for those who are searching or want to know. If you don't want to search, we all have our own choice.

Actually there was no Gnostic Christians until after the second word was coined, which was, of course, after the time of Jesus. Before that, we were just Gnostics or Essenes. This was the group of people that Jesus belonged to. We simply believe in reincarnation, in an all-loving and fair God, and to the Mother God principle. We study where we are going and why we are here.

Most other churches built big buildings and begged everybody for money. The Gnostics wanted to be, and still are, a group of people that choose to love and experience God without the pomp and circumstance.

A Gnostic does not believe without research and validation. See for yourself, look up the Nag Hammadi writings of the Essenes. The writers of those words saw the bible as a metaphor that teaches the greatness of God.

The Gnotic writings were stymied by the "Pauline" Christians because the Gnostics did not encourage fear and control.

is it because Resurrection was not emphatically told by the Lord either personally or through His prophets in the scriptures available to them then?Resurrection is central to the grand sceme of things the Lord has worked out for the whole mankind. How were these people (Saducees)with such a blasphemous thought tolerated by others who knew the Truth? What made them not believe in Resurrection and yet be part of the Lord,s Chosen People? How did they come to follow this no resurrection doctrine among their people.Who taught them to think like this?

Religions say that one must follow this and that religion/ this religion is right or one might be cast into hell.

What is your opinion on this matter? What does your religion say about this issue?

As a Roman Catholic, I believe that we are judged by our actions not by who we follow. If we do good, we will receive good.

Do you think the word of God is indeed the bible i am curious how you can explain why God did not send a message all over the world and sent his message to one race. Try and explain how faith and logic can exist together

whilst there is all the debate and conflict with regards to muslim faith and terrorism - and many muslims being caught up in acts of terrorism, AS A MUSLIM how do YOU feel about it all. Im not trying to be political - im more interested in hearing things from your side as so many non muslims only see what is put to press ....I mean it to be a fair and friendly question, im not muslim so im just interested to hear your side on how you feel about the terror suspects using the faith as a means to an end, i know you are not all like this.

I've read so many answers from the good Christians on this forum, from people who seem to follow the Bible really well. I've seen them tell other religions, such as JW's and the Mormons that there are Bible passages that they do not follow so they can't be Christian. So to you good Bible following Christians, I was wondering, where do you put your wives when they are menstruating? The Bible says in Leviticus that they should be seperated from you for 7 days because they are unclean, and I was wondering where you put them. Thanks.

I guess you could say I was raised as a Jehovahs Witness, but its hard to say that because my mother never taught me much about the religion. When I was small we would go to the "church" meetings often, but less and less as I got older. My oldest sister is a devoted Jehovahs Witness in every sense of the word. I really never felt like I had the same beliefs as a Jehovahs Witness, but I do have respect for the people who follow the religion properly which is really hard because it is so strict. My question is Im having trouble finding a place to worship. These are my beliefs: I believe we all worship the same God only have different names for Him, I do not believe in satan or hell, I believe in reincarnation, I have respect for every religion, I believe in heaven and that we were all sent here to learn as much as possible. Help me figure out what religion I am, even if I never figure out were I belong I know God knows I have Faith in Him.
