Muslim faith.....how do muslims see things?

Question

whilst there is all the debate and conflict with regards to muslim faith and terrorism - and many muslims being caught up in acts of terrorism, AS A MUSLIM how do YOU feel about it all. Im not trying to be political - im more interested in hearing things from your side as so many non muslims only see what is put to press ....I mean it to be a fair and friendly question, im not muslim so im just interested to hear your side on how you feel about the terror suspects using the faith as a means to an end, i know you are not all like this.

ps I'm from the UK not America - if that makes any difference!

There are misguided people in all faiths. i do not condone the violence. No properly practicing muslim would condone the violence. but they will have to deal with that on their day of judgment. I am not to judge anyone. Only GOD can provide their punishments

Terrorists are in every religion, but the problem is that the focus these days are only on Muslim terrorists, while there are many bad and evil people from all religions all over the world.
There are more than a billion Muslim in the world, how many of them are terrorists? what is their percentage?
We are very much against terrorism, but there is nothing we can do about it, it is not a certain country we are fighting with, how can we locate terrorists and act while America itself could not do anything in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We are suffering too, people all around the world now have a bad idea about Islam, Media is totally against it, religious people are called terrorists and there is nothing to be done to change that.

Why do all people class as all muslims as terrorists?

What gives the thugs the right to snatch a nikab of a woman?

What gives someone a right to arrest someone on suspicion of planning bombs when later its founded that those persons are innocent of all charges after being shot down?

Why do muslim women have to listen to abuse when wearing hijab, burka or niqab?

How come any man who wears a beard and a prayer cap is immediately falls into the category of terrorist?

im muslim and ill tell u y those b-a-s-t-a-r-d-s you always read about are terrorists, it's because they veiw the west as the enemy because the US government is pro-israel. i dont hate jews, iv had a lot of jewish friends but the US government for some reason hates muslims, but that aint the case wit western citizens, so those terrorists group them all as one which is stupid of them as more than half the american ppl didnt want to go 2 war with iraq. and those that did only wanted saddam hussein captured. but they r still sending troops 2 kill muslim civilians. So those terrorists send people on suicide missions which is more stupid because the quran says u cannot kill yourself, u shud die 4 ur religion but not kill urself, that's sumthing else. the point is those terrorists call themselves muslims, but in reality they are not and we just wanna live in peace.

Well there are more Muslim (much more) who are not terrorist than are. There are 1.5 billion Muslims and less than 1% of them are extremists. My faith has nothing to do with terrorism, nothing at all. Where in my faith does it say to commit acts of terror? You are absolutely right that the only message and information you get about Muslims is from the media and guess what the media wants you to think? That's right the government need to vilify us to justify there actions in Iraq, Afghanistan and more than likely soon to be Iran. The thing i don't understand is no one asked catholics how do you feel about your faith and terrorism by the IRA. People where smart enough to separate the two and see that just because the people committing the acts of terror where catholics did not mean catholics where responsible for there actions. I for one don't feel responsible in the slightest for what extremists do whether they are the same faith or not. I am responsible for my actions and they there's.
Are all christians responsible for the acts of Bush and his administration? Did Iraq attack you? No. Did they threaten to attack you? No. Where there weapons of mass destruction? No. So why are they there? Dont think for one second its to liberate or free anyone. Its for control of pipe lines, money and power. As a muslim of course i am upset at my Iraqi brothers and sisters being murdered for nothing. Over 36,000 innocent men, women and CHILDREN can america justify that? Why are men clearly innocent still being held and tourchered in Gwantanimo bay with no charges, no trial, no glimps of freedom in site? America has more blood on its hands but that seems to be over looked. They are filling Americans with fear, when they are living in fear you can be controled and thats what the government wants for US citizens to be focused on an imaginary threat thousands of miles away. Forget that your own country is falling apart, forget about overwhelming crime rates, over crowded prisons, gang cultures, abject poverty for millions of its own citizens, no national health system, why they cannot even get there act together to fix New Orleans all this time on, but dont worry about all that there are muslims the other side of the world who we need to focus your billions of tax paying US dollars on......Dont be silly. Fix our own back yard? Whats the hurry.
I as a muslim have not one thing against america except for the fact they are spreading lies, stereotypes and hatred about muslims. We all agree 9/11 was a tragedy no one is saying it was right or justified. But can you honestly say before 9/11 you ever cared about muslims? That you ever gave them a second thought? Why is that? Because the majority of us are peaceful, quiet, good fearing people minding our own business, raising our children, paying our tax's, getting an education, contributing to society. Why would that have ever held anyones intrest before 9/11? Simply it would'nt have and that is still what the majority the major majority of what we do now. There is nothing in my life as a muslim that ever, ever has anything to do with terrorism and extremists. Why would there be? I am just a wife and a mother worshiping in my faith praying for peace in the world for everyone. If that makes me a terrorist in others eyes so be it, I wont be giving up my faith for anyone.
