What difference does it make? I doubt that people were either 'more evil' or 'less evil' ... but I do think that some of the 'evils' we must fight today are quite 'different from' the evils of Biblical times ... but that doesn't mean that the Bible is 'too old to be any good, now' ... which is one thing that makes the Bible a 'holy book' and not just 'a good reading book.'

I think there is much more awareness due to the Gospel being spread and Gods truth know more in general, but are people literally better today than they were in past days? No not so much.

I think the believers of today are more superior due to their increased knowledge of God and the gift of the Holy Spirit. But I believe unbelievers are still sadly the same, lost and as evil as ever. In fact, with science and technology on the rise as well as education, that leads to a lot of inflated pride and condescension towards God and his people. so one could argue that the evil of evil people is at an all time high!
