The OT is pretty hostile about it...
If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying "Let us go and serve other gods," . . . you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him; but you shall kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the LORD your God..."

Your questions vary a lot. where to begin? IF a person understands the old testament and new testament, they will see one certainly does not cancel out the other. In fact, you must have the knowledge of both to understand all of what God says. Its not an either or situation. And no there is nothing in the Bible that says we shouldt respect everyone, But God does clearly tell us in 2 john that when a person talks about God without the teachings of Jesus, we arent to talk to them or even wish them well. We are to fleee from those ppl. RUN to the nearest exist, as they are only there of the devil (whether they know it or not) to takedown our faith and destroy. Other views are vine, but must contain the teachings of Jesus, that He was here and will come again. that He died on the cross for our sins and is the only way to salvation. And, if people only understand part of the ot , they wont be able to get the nt. this is why there are so many varying beliefs that dont teach Gods teachings at all. The Bible is like a giant jigsaw puzzle, one piece at a time going togher to form a huge jigsaw puzzle, that makes a full picture of what God has for us. The only time it doesnt make sense, is when we dont have a certain piece of the puzzle. Study, true study and prayer, are the only way and we will be learning all the days of our life. We dont fear new teachings, but we hold onto what we know is true, and never accept any things that cant be proved by the Bible. period
Choose Jesus today.

The Book of Ecclesiastes encourages us to do more listening than talking. (I struggle with that!)
There is absolutely nothing in the old testament that prevents a believer form accepting the New Testament. On the contrary, once a person has studied the Old Testament properly, he will be convinced the New Testament is the fulfilment of the Old.

The OT claims that no descendant of Mosiach Jeconiah would ever be Mosiach. This was a curse placed directly by God.
The NT contains two geneologies of Jesus. One directly includes Jeconiah, the other includes descendants of Jeconiah.
The NT is invalid according to OT teachings.

Of course there's nothing in the bible about different opinions or others viewpoints. Have you ever talked to any hardcore Christians? They believe the bible is THE word and there is NO room for interpretation.

the Old and New testaments do not contradict each other. they both tell you not to follow after another religion.
2john 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2john 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2john 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

The answer is probably no. We are warned of false prophets, etc. in the Bible.
Please understand...we do not worship the Bible. MY opinion is that we have many, many enlightened people, throughout history and even today who have good thoughts and inspirations to share with others...they are not false prophets.
