No. He does not. He might hear them all but does he listen? Does he answer them all? You have people praying to win a lottery? He condemns gambling, why would he listen to that? People pray that their favorite sports team wins a game ... will God choose sides in the next World Series? The Super Bowl maybe? What if someone asks for something that God, in his wisdom, realizes is not in that person's best interest?

God hears all the prayers of the righteous. But consider the following:

A Christian hunter is hunting bears in the woods. While walking up a hill he grabs a branch for leverage and it breaks sending the hunter tumbling down the hill, gun flying off elsewhere. When the hunter dusts himself off he sees a huge bear charging him. The hunter begins running, but trips and falls, landing on his knees. Seizing the opportunity, and being a good Christian, the hunter begins to pray, "Lord, make this bear a Christian."

The woods are quiet, the hunter turns and, Hallelujah! He sees the bear on his knees, paws together, praying! Listening, he hears the bear praying, "Father, bless this food to my body."

The key point here is that God answers prayers of the righteous, but the answer you get may not be the answer you wanted, BUT it will always be the right answer.

Use the following pattern in all your prayers and you will see them answered: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. See the llinks below for more information. (acronym: ACTS)

How do we know that "answered prayers" are illusions? We simply perform scientific experiments. We ask a group of believers to pray for something and then we watch what happens. What we find, whenever we test the efficacy of prayer scientifically, is that prayer has zero effect:

It does not matter who prays.
It does not matter if we pray to God, Allah, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra or any other human god.
It does not matter what we pray about.
If we perform scientific, double-blind tests on prayer, and if the prayers involve something concrete and measurable (for example, healing people with cancer), we know that there is zero effect from prayer. Every single "answered prayer" is nothing more than a coincidence. Both scientific experiments and your everyday observations of the world show this to be the case every single time.

MATT.6:7--DON'T PRAY ABOUT THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER...FOR THEY "IMAGINE" THEY WILL GET A HEARING FOR THEIR WORDS.

PROV. 28:9--THOSE TURNING AWAY FROM GOD, THEIRE PRAYER IS DETESTABLE TO HIM.

MICAH 3:4--THEY WILL CALL TO GOD FOR AID, BUT HE WOULD NOT ANSWER THEM.

There is no evidence whatsoever that a higher being interferes in the natural order of things.

So- if your diety does listen to prayers- he's not doing anything about them.
