JAGADGURU FROM THE THROWN OF OMNI-KNOWLEDGE FLEW BACK TO THE DEATH BED OF HIS MOTHER AT KALADY AS HER SANKARA .

SHE TOO WAS GIVEN SAYOOJYA IN HER DEAR THRI KALADY APPAN -KRISHNAN, WITH SANKARA RECITING VISHNU BHUJANGAM AND ATCHUTHA ASHTAKAM.

WITH THE HELP & COOPERATION OF JUST 2 OUT OF 10 ILLOMS OF KALADY, HE DULY CREMATES HIS BELOVED MOTHERS BODY. THEN APARA KRIYAS DONE IN NEARBY GHAT IN POORNA. THE REMAINS WHERE PLACED BELOW 'UTHAMA VRIKSHAM AND KAPPILLY NAMBUDIRIS CONTINUED DAILY 'DEEPAM ' WITH ALL SUCH SMRUTHI LAND AREA MARKED IN NAME OF KAPPILLY NAMBUDIRI.

ONE CAN SEE THE BLACK STONE LAMP DONATED FOR CONVENIENCE OF DAILY LAMP, MARKED ' THRI THEKKE MADHOM VAKA' WITH MUDRA OF MUTT ENGRAVED '. SANKARA RETURNS ENTRUSTING THALAETTUM PILLY (Head lifting) MANA RENAMED ON LIFTING HEAD SIDE OF MOTHERS BODY TO PYRE AND TO KAPPILLY MANA RENAMED AS SUCH ON LIFTING KAL (Leg) PART TO PYRE, WHO ARE THE ONLY ONES SURVIVED WITH REST IN 10 ILLOMS EXTINCT.

SANKARA WEPT UNDER THE BANIAN TREE BEFORE HIS KAVIL BHADRAKALI FOR THE WHOLE NIGHT AND LEFT KALADY

Sankara Acharya a young boy who travelled the whole Indian land scape on his foot , being unable to carry a long sick old bed ridden mother is un acceptable even on physical terms .

THIS FAMILIES NAMES & HISTORY AND THE REAL FACTS IN HOLY KALADY PROVES MADHVA VIDYARANYA AND HIS SCHOOL FOLLOWERS ASSIGNING SANKARA AS A BUTCHER THAT TOO OF HIS OWN MOTHERS BODY, (PERHAPS MADE INNOCENTLY), TOTALLY WRONG AND IGNORANT IN THIS ASPECT

Being aware very well of these facts it FALLS the prime responsibilities of various Mutts to Clear Their Param Acharya of such a BLAME

A Nair Family by the name "AMBATTU 'in Kaldy are belived traditionaly to have given fire for cremation , as well as arranged the firewood .

I don't know about the veracity of the story but there is nothing to be afraid of in the answer to this question, whoever might have raised it.
Sankaracharya had promised to his mother that he would be by her death-bed and had perhaps promised that he would cremate her too. Nambudhri Brahmins (the group from which Sankara hailed) who cared more for rituals and less for philosophy and renunciation were not helpful to Sankara. Sankara had to fulfil his promise to his mother on which basis his Sannyasa (renunciation) stood. He had to cremate and continue his work of serving the country. He was less than 33 then, we need to remember. He had to rush things before those Nambudhiris thwart him. And he knew perfectly well, that it was just a dead body, there was no foolish sentimental attachment to the dead body that ordinary deluded folks have. And for that matter, his mother or her spirit would never have minded this essential treatment.
Nambudhiris and many other castes to this day cremate their dead within their home compounds whenever possible, as a mark of atonement for their forefathers' fault.

This is the story. I don't find anything to be ashamed of by Hindus or Indians. Rather it is inspiring.

To understand this matter you will have to raise your understanding little above mind. Things which belong to beyond mind can not be discussed from mind. Have a big heart and try to understand the whole circumstance. The mother of Shankaracharya died. No one was with Shankaracharya. He was alone in the jungle. He had to cremate the body his mother. She was so heavy that a single person could not have lifted her. As a spiritual saint Shankaracharya knew that body after death is to be dedicated to nature. So he cut the pieces of her body and took it all to cremation ground and cremated it. I am surprised why you cant see the love and affaction he had for his mother and even to the body of died mother. Is it prudent to leave the body to perish?

The status of mother is very special and unique in a person's birth. As a body in human form can only achieve what we call our sole aim, we automatically get indebted to our parents especially to our mother who carried us in her womb for 9 painful months and brought us into this world. Else our soul would have been in pathetic condition. True , it is God who decides about our abode, but the service of our mother can not be set aside.

Inspite of attaining renunciation, the adi Jagadguru made it a point to do the necessary rituals for showing indebtedness to his mother. We should shed a tear or two. in paying our homage to the mother of the guru, who brought adi guru shankaracharya to this world for the benefit of the mankind.

the objective became into to sell integration on a great scale. To inspire mixing of extremely some cultures and faiths unfold around the Indian subcontinent. "Chowbey Brahmins from Orissa could desire to be the Poojaaris at Dwaraka Temple. Pandas from Gujarat could desire to be the Poojaaris at Jagannath Puri Temple." it is obviously meant for cultural substitute between East and West. classic question and intensely impressive answer from Sri Vidya Rajagopalan. Can somebody present a e book on 'Optimism and advantageous thinking' to Mr.Odampully.

I didn't see the butchering myself. You might get information from the surrounding people of Adi Shankaracharya then. Had or has its impact on Adi Shankaracharya's teachings and service to the people? Adi Shankaracharya brought up the people or not? Don't know much about, how much Adi Shankaracharya affected people.
