There may be an isolated pocket of undiscovered people somewhere in the Pacific or the Amazon that they haven't gotten to yet but I doubt it.

The Burning Times is roughly from the year 1000 to around the 1700s where countless numbers of which is were killed through the misapplication of biblical texts. Perhaps the most commonly cited biblical verse supporting the killing of witches is found in Exodus 22:18, “You shall not allow a sorceress to live." The Roman Catholic Church which was in power in the Middle Ages in Europe, was often very oppressive. Wiccans today often identify themselves with the time of the witch burnings and Judge Christianity based upon the atrocities committed by the Roman Catholic Church. Unfortunately, many Wiccans did not realize that the Roman Catholic Church also persecuted Christians, torturing many of them for not submitting to the authority and rule of Roman Catholicism. In Christianity, particularly in the Protestant Reformation, we refer to this time as "the Inquisition" which was begun by Pope Innocent VIII in 1484 The point is that Roman Catholic Church does not represent Christianity and its atrocities committed upon both pagans and Christians is not the true representation of Christianity.

Wow. How about you lump everyone together with the Catholic Church. That would be great.
Oh please. The US government was responsible for the Indian killings. It was not a Christian endeavor. I'm sure there are no ethnic groups that have not had at least one individual murdered by someone who was a "Christian". It is not the same thing as the atrocities committed in the name of Christ by the Catholic Church. There is nothing in Christ's teaching that advocates slavery or killing of any ethnic group or other religion. So...apology accepted.

Mr. Nolte,
Perhaps there is. I don't know. What I do know is that there are Christians currently making things better in certain third world countries. Doubtless in the past there hae been many atrocities committed in the name of God, but there is still truth. Many who do not succumb to the workings of fanatics that hurt people continue to preach the Gospel, that anyone who believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is saved.

Yes, there are plenty, if you take the time to study history. While studying pay close attention to the 100 million or more slaughtered in the name of godlessness (non-belief) in Russia by Stalin and others. Non-believers have killed more than any other group in history. Rather than attempting flippancy, I recommend you pick up a few books on history and prove to yourself the facts I have stated.

I suppose it depends on your definition of "torture"
But yes, there are Christian groups, like the Amish, Mennonites, who haven't killed/tortured. Some Christian groups (like them) are pacifists and refuse to fight either in self-defense or otherwise. There are probably others, but those are the two that come to mind.
