If I were to imply you were a sub-human, and ask you to submit to Thor, and that Thor was God, and that there would be a punishment to you if you did not submit to Thor
what would be your reaction?
Would you find my question absurd? Does my hypothetical question that I am not asking but asking about violate the yahoo answers community standards?
Additionally, in the hypothetical scenario, I have no proof of the existence of Thor, just a book written by an illiterate peasant from 1400 years ago, does that knowledge influence your decision?

My question is just how an illiterate peasant would go about writing a book...? Also, to some, every thunderclap is proof of the existence of Almighty Thor! Thor is more provable than God, since you can hear him. You can see the lightning bolts of Zeus, so doesn't he exist too? Or is it just the thunder and the lightning? I guess this is the same question one might ask in reference to intelligent design. Is the thunder natural and undirected? Or is Thor necessary to direct it? I think I begin to see a pattern of distinctly human thought arising here...again.

Well I would think you don't have a good understanding about the Nature of Thor if you were to imply that those who do not worship him are sub-human and that Thor punishes people for not worshiping him. Thor would never do that, nor would any of the Norse Gods. Thor is a friend to and defender of all humankind, his only enemies are the frost giants and the world serpent.
That being said, I understand the point you are trying to make about the Christians posting their "questions" were they demand that everyone worship Jesus and threatening people with hellfire. Yes, I believe that that should be considered a violation.
But maybe you should use a different God as an example, one that's a bit more hostile, try one of the Aztec Gods.

I take the last point first. How does an illiterate person write a book, according to dictionary.com an illiterate person is one that is unable to read and write.
How is that possible.
Is a person illiterate because they share a belief that you do not like or understand.
I will not submit to Thor i will however submit to Sango if you want me to. Mojuba ile Sango. Ka b isi sile Sango.
Weight i am not an Atheist. I just wasted a whole thought darn

I see no difference from that statement than any other religion out there that professes to be "the way". It would also be just as accurate. I kinda like Thor better anyway. Has a ring to it. I submit to Lord Thor...................

You are asking ABOUT a hypothetical question, not asking a hypothetical question...so I shall answer.
Is your implication hypothetically written before or after the creation of Christianity? Because it sounds an awful lot like it... Same response as to Christianity: SHEYA RIGHT!

No proof, no submission.
And you question would be absurd. Unfortunately, the Norse gods are not granted the same politically correct status as the Jewish gods.

Why are you addressing this question to atheists? We already know that stories like that are absurd. It's the non-atheists who can't figure that out.
