Did God create the universe on the surface of planet earth?? Because that is the only place in the universe that a "day" equals 24 hours. Unless you are on the surface of a planet, there is no such thing as a "day". Did God time the creation of the entire universe on the period of rotation of one little planet in one solar system in one galaxy among millions, none of which had even been created yet?? Talk about egocentric! God exists outside of our simplistic divisions of time, in fact outside of time itself. The God I know is far bigger than you seem to appreciate.

Bro...our earthly days are as long as it takes for the earth to rotate. If that is a day to us what do you think a day was to God before he even created earth?
Think outside the box here and realize it is a figure of speech to designate a short period of time...to an infinite being.
Think about it...

it says he did in the ancient text. So- we all must believe it.
And- the book is so old... it must be true.
