if the 7th day is shabbat and the days are from evening to evening not 12 am to 12 am lol, then that means that the day is from evening to evening then friday evening to sat evening is shabbat! so why do people worship on sunday WHEN SUNDAY IS THE 1ST DAY OF THE WEEK?

All through high school, I had never made friends easily and now I'm having issues into adulthood.
Specifically with this one:
She and I became friends because she was my manager.I still frequented this place even after I quit and now my hubby works there. When he started working there, she and I began to hang out and then hubby and I started hanging out at her place with her and her family. We are pagan and we had other things in common and we started a coven together. This is basicly just a religious group. She and my hubby were the leaders because I am almost a decade both of their juniors.
She and I got really close and she even performed my wedding. Then, she started to get stressed and 'handed over the coven'. Now she is mad because I didnt keep her informed and she wont even talk to me. She says she will call when she feels like letting me in her life again, and that I have hurt her so much. I just dont get it. I dont really want to write her off but she did REALLY hurt ME!

This is for atheists only. I was having a discussion with a colleague of mine tonight and he stated that: "I am fatherless...as most atheists are." He then expanded his statement by saying this "Most atheists have a weak father figure, no father figure, or a SOB as a father figure". I was very startled by his theory. I do not know what to make of it, as I have never considered such a thing.

My question to you is,
1. How was your relationship with your father/father figure?

2. Among those that are atheists that you have among your circle would you could their relationship c father/father figure as poor?

3. Though he cited quite a few historical accounts of poor father/father figures and athiests, please assist me in citing those that had decent, good fathers and STILL atheists. I could only come up with one: Karl Marx.

Myself included of course. I just mean when I ask a question on religion I get nonstop answers, but the opposite is true when I ask about science and polotics. Don't hate me because I believe that religion is not relitive to todays society, it is only a belief. I don't hate you because of what you believe. I am not generlalizing when I speak of religious people, it is just an observation, I am speaking to the vast majority, not to everyone.

The word beget or begotten is an event and act. Chrsitians believe that Jesus is god and begotten son. This word gives an clear indication that Jesus came into existense as an event and act of begetting. Which also means that before this event Jesus was non-existent. Can someone be begotten as well as eternal? I know you would be having lots of expanation of word begotten, but again that expanation would be against the direct meaning of begotten. Begotten is a clear english word which has a clear meaning. If some dictionary add another meaning to begotten to accomodate christianity; doesn't really legitimise using word begotten.
Clear and honest answer would be appreciated.

I grew up in a protestant Christian home, but I have recently become somewhat disenchanted with how the Christian Church functions, and how they treat other religious groups.

So as a result, I have started researching Messianic Judaism, and their forms of worship and how they choose to honor G-d and the whole belief system really seems to strike a chord of truth with me.

But I was wondering if anyone here has converted from Christianity to Messianic Judaism and if you could share with me a little about your experiences?

Any input would be appreciated really--whether your are Jewish, Christain or Messianic. Just no hateful speech please, there is NO need for that.
