Determing if Jesus is God Almighty or not is strongly related to the Trinity doctrine. Therefore, we discuss the concept, its validility and reference in the Gospels.

Interestingly, neither the word "Trinity" nor the doctrine itself is taught in the Gospels, as will be shown later in this article with biblical references. A famous verse, [1 John 5:7 (King James Version)], has been used sometimes to prove that Trinity is taught in the Gospels. The verse says: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one". Yet, this verse has been removed from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible (RSV) by thirty two Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by fifty cooperating Christian denominations, they tell us that it was an interpolation, a later addition to the text of the statement. The RSV goes back to the "most ancient manuscripts".

Trinity, which was established after Jesus left earth by atleast 200 years, and is not mentioned in the Bible (both term and concept), was never preached by Jesus, and is a clear deviation from his original message. Also, it is not fitting to God and its against his perfection, and his mercy of not confusing us humans.

God Almighty, the All-Powerful, Most Merciful and All-Knowing, is one and only; he has no daughter and has no son. He begets not, nor was he begotten, and there is none like Him. Taking into consideration that the term "son of God" implies a loyal servant and righteous person, as it has been used for many prophets in the Gospels, it becomes clear that Jesus was a prophet of God and neither God nor his "begotten" son.

Before you answer this; think first, "JESUS NEVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT TRINITY!"

There is no such thing as the Trinity, This is largest lie that Satan uses to keep people from knowing who the True God is, if he can do this, he's got you.

“Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36) How do these words confirm that Jesus is not Almighty God?

Jesus says that the Father knows more than the Son does. If Jesus were part of Almighty God, however, he would know the same facts as his Father. So, then, the Son and the Father cannot be equal. Yet, some will say: ‘Jesus had two natures. Here he speaks as a man.’ But even if that were so, what about the holy spirit? If it is part of the same God as the Father, why does Jesus not say that it knows what the Father knows?

1st of all Jesus said: He pointed to God as the Source of his life, saying, “I live because of the Father.” According to the context, this meant that his life resulted from or was caused by his Father, even as the gaining of life by dying men would result from their faith in Jesus’ ransom sacrifice.

Jesus’ being called the “only-begotten Son” does not mean that the other spirit creatures produced were not God’s sons, for they are called sons as well. However, by virtue of his being the sole direct creation of his Father, the firstborn Son was unique, different from all others of God’s sons, all of whom were created or begotten by Jehovah through that firstborn Son. So “the Word” was Jehovah’s “only-begotten Son” in a particular sense,

Jesus is also “Mighty God” and “Eternal Father.” This does not mean that he usurps the authority and position of Jehovah, who is “God our Father.” (2 Corinthians 1:2) “He [Jesus] gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.” (Philippians 2:6) He is called Mighty God, not Almighty God. Jesus never thought of himself as God Almighty, for he spoke of his Father as “the only true God,” that is, the only God who should be worshiped. (John 17:3;

Rev. 1:1; 3:14, RS: “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, why did God have to give the revelation to Jesus, if he is God? .

Does the Bible teach that none of those who are said to be included in the Trinity is greater or less than another, that all are equal, that all are almighty? Mark 13:32, RS: “Of that day or that hour no ones knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Of course, that would not be the case if Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were coequal, comprising one Godhead. And if, as some suggest, the Son was limited by his human nature from knowing, the question remains, Why did the Holy Spirit not know?)

John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

1 Cor. 11:3, RS: “I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.” (Clearly, then, Christ is not God, and God is of superior rank to Christ. It should be noted that this was written about 55 C.E., some 22 years after Jesus returned to heaven.

A person who is really seeking to know the truth about God is not going to search the Bible hoping to find a text that he can construe as fitting what he already believes. He wants to know what God’s Word itself says. He may find some texts that he feels can be read in more than one way, but when these are compared with other Biblical statements on the same subject their meaning will become clear. It should be noted at the outset that most of the texts used as “proof” of the Trinity actually mention only two persons, not three; so even if the Trinitarian explanation of the texts were correct, these would not prove that the Bible teaches the Trinity.

You're right - the Trinity as such is not mentioned in the Bible. The doctrine of the Trinity comes from piecing together various facts and reaching a conclusion which seems to me (at least) to be both necessary and logical. Some are little things - like the fact that the Hebrew word used to mean "the Lord" is a plural noun always used in a singular sense. Some are a bit more dramatic - Christ's statement in John 10:30 that "I and the Father are one." Ultimately, yes, it can be argued either way - but the bulk of orthodox Christianity is on the side of the Trinity.

God doesn't have any piercings in the bible. LOL Ok, that's a joke, but seriously: The bible does talk about the nature of God and in very clear terms. It never mentions a trinity, or a trinity type concept in those scriptures. Only by taking scriptures out of context can someone "pierce" into the texts. Of course, taking the scriptures out of context isn't what fundamentalists should be doing if they expect to have any more clarity than Catholism.

dunie33: Legalism? LOL What other words do you want to use to make youself so self-assured and give yourself permission to ignore facts?

Jesus is both the only begotten son of the Father & God in the flesh. He is considered a Son b/c He went through the process of being born to a human woman & being raised as any other child. He is also God incarnate with all aspects of God dwelling in human flesh. The doctrine of the trinity can be confusing but think about it this way. Water exists all at once as a solid ( ice ) a liquid & a gas ( water vapor ). All are equally water in chemical composition & none is less than water b/c it's in a different form. Jews & Christians believe in the same God but Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah. Allah was a Persian moon god. Ever wonder why the symbol for Islam is a crescent moon? Allah does not have the same attributes as God ( Jehovah ). Hope that helps.

It appears that you have not read both sides of this argument. You can not honesty find the truth for yourself in that manner. There are plenty of books covering this subject.

That said, you say that God has no son, and begets not. That seems to be a direct contradiction of the Bible. Surely you have read John 3:16 that God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON... You say that Jesus is not God, but haven't you read John 1:1-4

" 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

The scripture says that Jesus was with God in the beginning when the universe was made. It says that all things were made by Jesus. There are so many scriptures about the divinity of Jesus and The Holy Spirit. You really have to read more. Again concerning Jesus Phillipians 2: 5 - 11

5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

These scriptures say that Jesus being in nature God, was willing to pour out his divinity and take the form of a man for our sakes. That's the most amazing thing you will ever know.

That God is a trinity, is reflected in the very universe he created. A trinity is three in one, each part absolutely necessary but distinct from the others. It is more than something being just 3.

Space is a trinity, being x, y and z in the directions we take as lenght, width and height. All three are different, but absolutely necessary for space. Space is not measured as:

1 lenght + 1 width + 1 height = 3 space

No rather space is measured as

1 lenght x 1 width x 1 height = 1 space

Time is a trinity being, past, present and future. Matter is a trinity being energy, movement, phenomena. Man is a trinity being inner nature, body, personality. The character of the artist is reflected in his creations.

Jokingly, Time and Space does not allow me to continue here, but this subject really Matters to me. Read the Bible more, read commentaries, pray, seek and you will find the true answers. Peace.

Well, if you are looking for someone to agree with you that the "trinity" doesn't make sense, you won't have to go too far. If the trininty were correct, how is it that God is only a spirit, yet Christ, who is God according to that way of thinking, has a resurrected body? He has a body yet he is only spirit? What? I had one person in this answer forum state that it was unclear what the nature of Christ's resurrected body was, but we do know he was resurrected and in fact was reunited with his body, so he is body and spirit, not just spirit. If God is only spirit, He and Christ are definitely not the same person.

God the Father
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. …God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

God the Son
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. …He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He is the Only mediator between God and men.

God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. …He exalts Christ. He convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. …He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son." (1 John 2:22)

The trinity makes no sense but, neither does the passion. Why would Jesus have to die for our sins? Think about it.

I don't think that belief or non-belief in the Trinity is going to have any bearing on one's salvation. But to disagree with something that is backed up by scripture (Jesus being God almighty), now you got a fight on your hands. I have to disagree that Jesus being God is strongly tied to the trinity belief. Jesus is God. It's backed up.

And please Christian brothers and sisters. Can't we treat each other with love and respect? Must we rebuke each other so callously?
