Can anyone give personal insite on the religion, especially as it pertains to children?

A lot of times I hear us refer to ourselves using labels: Christian, theist, atheist, Muslim.

I have also heard others use those same labels and other's on us: unbeliever, religionist, Bible-worshipper.

Did Adam create these labels when he was labeling the beasts?

"...and I'll call this beast heathen..."

Do we create these labels to show that we are different than others or to show that others are different from us?

Do labels help create and reinforce stereotypes?

Honestly, this is why I think its a communication issue. We both use the same points, only we use them for our side. Ex. Prove to me that God exists, okay Well prove he doesn't. Which makes more sense God created everything or we evolved from other primates? how can you look at the night sky and think we are not children of god, how can you look at the night sky and think that a god created us?

I never try to convert anyone to anything -

The Christians on the other hand call my gods evil without knowing a thing about them and insist I go to church to cast out the demons -

My first thought was to hit them over the head and say shut up jerk but

Why exactly is it that Christians have no respect for anyone else and how do you shut them up once they are on a role .

Now I counter by talking about my goddess as if she is in the room - This seems to scare them but it doesn't help them with thier preocupation and I feel bad for doing it even though I am just copying thier own behaviour in hopes they will catch on to how opressive they are - but they don't

The Quran, the last revealed word of God, is the primary source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, transactions, law, etc., but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. At the same time, it provides guidelines and detailed teachings for a just society, proper human conduct, and an equitable economic system.


Note that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic only. So, any Quranic translation, either in English or any other language, is neither a Quran, nor a version of the Quran, but rather it is only a translation of the meaning of the Quran. The Quran exists only in the Arabic in which it was revealed.

when it is clear to everyone that some men wrote the bible / koran ... how can the bible /koran be called the "Word of God" ... this is a blatent lie, no ?

It seems to me that christians / muslims all do the talking on behalf of "god" ... i am pretty sure that the bible / koran is the "Word of Man (pretending to be a god) "

With all due respect, Christianity should be kept as a personal religion, it shouldn't in any way be applied in real life, Countries need armies to survive.

the world is full of ideas about how Christians should look. We live in the world and we can't get flakey or snobby to the very world we were created in. People either say Christians are weird, snobby, or hipocrits. If you look too much like the world how will people know what it means to be a Christian? If your overly spiritual the world cannot realate and therfore people say you are weird What is the answer?

I am sure that all that whipping of the slaves and converting people by the edge of the sword was done in love along with the god's loving mercy burn the witch ceremony and all that

I am just wondering how many people have been killed whipped inprisoned and bought or sold in the name of the Lord .....
