Personally, my opinion of religion has sunk quite a bit as a result of mega-churches.

Current Medical Education Capitation fee for entry into a church-run institution in Kerala is stated to be Rs.25 to 35 lakhs for resident and non-resident Indians under Management quota. We cannot complain of fleecing by Medical profession as they are entitled to recover their investment in education? Who we will identify as primary culprits? It pains that the fleecing is done by ordained High Priests of Churches established in the name of Jesus Christ who drove away traders from the Church premises. 55 years ago my father, a devoted Christian priest approached our Bishop for a School teacher’s job for me and an admission in the Training College for my sister under his Management. He demanded a hefty sum of Rs.2000/- for the Teacher’s job and a capitation fee of Rs.1500/- for Training College entry. We lost as my father was poorly paid by the Church. While my father remained loyal to the church till his death, I have developed absolute contempt for these shylocks in holy robes.

It had a little tiny stick figure with a speech bubble saying, "God, why haven't you sent anyone to cure cancer and AIDS for us?"

And a speech bubble from above read, "You aborted them."

Regardless of your faith...this presents a valid point.

Winston Churchill was born in a high school bathroom. What if he was aborted?

Isn't that annoying, when people NEVER choose their best answer, and yet they come on here all the time.

In the 2nd verse of Genesis it says, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."....

moved upon the face of the waters?? It said the earth was void - void means empty - so how come there's water? Can somebody please explain what this means?

Conceding the point that asking about recipees to cook infants isn't a genuine question?

Should we all ask real questions instead, such as any of the following:

1. If man came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

2. Atheists why are you in this section?

3. Atheists if you are wrong you go to hell but if I'm wrong I've lost nothing.

Should we all ask from the above 3 approved list of questions? Lest Yahoo Answers deem us a troll?

I am going to college and will be in law school soon. I have been told since childhood I would make a good attorney by teachers, peers, etc. Carreer tests I have taken tell me the same.

I think that will be one of my ways of serving humanity, but what I want almost more than anything is to meet a spiritual woman that blends with me perfectly and be happy with her.

I feel like that should be a bigger priority to me right now.
I sense that this is God's will for me just as it is his will that I eat to stay alive, be warm when cold, drink when thirsty, etc.

This got me to thinking, God is love and there is nothing greater than love. Could it be that one of his most important goals for us on EARTH is to find our love?

about from some scientific explanation, not God? He was rainsed strict baptist, had it shoved down his throat when young & is now almost defiant, makes lame excuses to almost talk himself out of fully believing? What is he really experiencing?

I live and work in central Africa and many Africans here believe in things like ghosts, spirits and black magic. Many of the locals are also highly religious and accept the existence of god without question. Therefore I was thinking that in general, is it fair to say that Christianity and belief in the Bible in the modern world are most successful in the poorer regions of the world and where educational standards are low.
