Personally, my opinion of religion has sunk quite a bit as a result of mega-churches.

I don't think the mega churches are doing anything to hurt anyone. They aren't attacking people. Now, I do have a hard time finding them as a personal as churches that are smaller. However, they do not damage society.

Fast food on the other hand and restaurant food in general that is in portions that are entirely too large is simply furthering the epidemic of obesity. How is that good?

I see within your question a presumption that a large church can't minister to the needs of the individual, Or that orthodox Christianity becomes somehow diluted in a large church setting. I'm afraid you're partially correct, but not entirely. Mega-churches have been around for a long time. The better ones use small groups to meet individual needs, and employ large staffs of people with specific areas of ministry.

Mega-churches?

I live in the UK and I've never heard of such a thing, we have big cathedrals... but mega-churches? Sounds very American... Hmm.

both, who wants to be stuck in a huge room with thousands of other people. breathing all their germs, you might get something that would kill you. or maybe blow your eardrums out from all that noise. As for fast food, we all know that will kill you slooooowly.
