the world is full of ideas about how Christians should look. We live in the world and we can't get flakey or snobby to the very world we were created in. People either say Christians are weird, snobby, or hipocrits. If you look too much like the world how will people know what it means to be a Christian? If your overly spiritual the world cannot realate and therfore people say you are weird What is the answer?

You can be fashionable, yet modest. That would be different. You don't have to come across as overly spiritual. You can be normal, you just don't have to gossip and swear with everyone else.

I've been told by a friend at work I'm the best Christian they've ever met. I simply live my life, try to stay pure and I have never met anyone that was offended by my "good" behavior. I even slip up in front of them at times and they don't make a big deal out of it.

I can be among them, while not participating in the bad things they do, and they still accept me. They like that I am real, to see that I have problems too, but they can see how I deal with them and overcome them. I don't walk around saying "praise the Lord" all the time, but I do talk about what I did at church this weekend...

The answer is to be in the world but not of it. The reason some people think Christians are weird, snobby, or hypocritical is because they've met some weird, snobby, hypocritical Christians. You can't change the way everybody thinks about you. You just have to be consistent. People will respect that.

although I don't have yet the perfect answer, I thank you, (and perhaps other Christians will too), because you reminded me that this times in the material World is a time of tribulation, especially for Christians. My problems begin with the concepts that of Christianity the Catholic Church have always embrace, though the Catholic church and especially, in the Spanish speaking population of the Continent here in America., Doesn't embrace and I'm talking, about protestantism, and although here In U.S., protestantism is the base of the U. S. Churches and religion, I can't completely Understand the vision of protestantism, and I know they don't understand the vision of Catholicism. Hoping than this isn't a problem I will continue praying and loving God in the way the Catholic Church teach me. Is a good Christian also a base protestant and not/yes base Catholic in this question, sincerely I don't know yet. things may change to-morrow.

I try to live my life following Jesus' commands as best I can. The pretty much boils down to the whole "loving my neighbor" bit. I can do that and not be weird or snobby or hypocritical.

St. Francis of Assisi has a fabulous quote: "Preach the Gospel at all times; use words if necessary."

Personally, I don't care what anyone thinks, so I suppose weird works for me. Being a good christian example means to behave in a christian manner, I don't see snobby or flaky in that category, and hypocrites simply tick me off. Your question is kinda odd, in that I don't really get what you're asking. Are you asking about outward appearances or deeds?

If labelling thing good or bad is the standpoint of people willing to, there will be fight for. The intelligent is no intelligent. You classified in your mind there is intelligent to take it which actually is changing all the time. Your taking is nothing you can hold tight of which is changing to other un-controllable situation. If there is no classification, will there be stupid or intelligent?

I have no idea, I am struggling with the same thing. I want to kick their butt and cuss them out but I can't b/c I know God wouldn't want me too. I am trying to love these people but they make it so hard for us.

You need to be the way YOU want to. Do not
live your life to please others. Its you, you have to answer to at the end of the day. Not these other people. Be the person you want to
be and the person God would want you to be.
God is the only one who counts here.

TRUTH AND GRACE

The truth should not look like judgement as it is not ours to judge.
Grace in all things.

We will stand out as different and should be proud of it.
