when it is clear to everyone that some men wrote the bible / koran ... how can the bible /koran be called the "Word of God" ... this is a blatent lie, no ?

It seems to me that christians / muslims all do the talking on behalf of "god" ... i am pretty sure that the bible / koran is the "Word of Man (pretending to be a god) "

Is this so ?

Oh yeah the koran is just a made up book by man, but the Bible is the book, true it was written by men but God told them what to write-the Word of God.
" - Did "god" have a holy fax machine or holy email? No... so how did "god" tell them what to write? This "word of god" myth is on shaky foundations, thats for sure.

isuballs "There will come a time when you will agree that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. You'll see"

I do not subcribe to any ancient myths or works of fiction (these were all written produced, edited and distributed by man)

I pity you that you will find your "saviour" is all based on ancient mythology "You'll See" :-)

I always found this hysterical too. I mean its like the book appeared out of no where. A human being wrote the book, which means it should be subjected to the same hypotheticals about the authors (like being crazy) as any other book. Why is it impossible that scared people seeking answers for things they didn't understand wrote the book?

The Bible doesn't say that it was directly written by God, it says that it was inspired by the Holy Spirit, who guided the men in what to say. The interesting thing about the Bible is that it was written over a period of 1400 years, with many writers from several different countries. The book has a united theme even if the writers had no knowledge of each other. Many scholars have asked the same question you are asking. There is a huge amount of research and available scholarship on this topic. If you were really interested you could get a master's degree in that idea alone. This venue does not do justice to a proper answer. If you are interested, you can e-mail me and I will give you an annotated bibliography on the subject so you can begin to study. Consider this, almost everyone who has set out to disprove Christianity by examining the evidence of the Bible, has either abandoned their quest or become a Christian.

The Torah or Old Testament Bible was around many thousands of years before the Koran. Ishmael's children wrote the Koran, but Allah is one of 360 idol gods and Muhammad picked Allah from among them. I do not believe in Islam.

The Bible however, whose author is the Holy Spirit the third person of the Trinity of God Almighty is another story. The Bible is unlike any other book. It is supernatural. It is complete in itself. The Bible needs no other books or truths to supplement it.
Anyone who will take the time can see and understand what God has given us in His Word and how it applies to us today. Yes, today. Written thousands of years ago but it is just like reading today's newspaper. The Bible tells us that "there is nothing new under the sun." What happened in the past will happen in the future. Therefore the Bible is in layers. It says "line upon line, prescept upon precept, here a little and there a little." Something very strange is read in one book and explained by another prophet in another book of the Bible.

Isaiah 30:25 ABOUT THE TWIN TOWERS IN NYC
And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the DAY OF THE GREAT SLAUGHTER, WHEN THE TOWERS FALL.

How can it not be the Word of God? Too many prophesies fulfilled in this book of books.

The Old Testament was preserved in the Ark of the Covenant, hence the name. The New Testament was written by people that knew Jesus Christ personaly, or by someone who knew the Apostles personaly. They were letters written by the apostles to the Churchs in the first century. And as the Apostles were being martyred, the letters were gathered together and put in a book, with the help of the last living Apostle. The KJV is translated from the original languages into English and the Dead Sea Scrolls are ancient documents that were written during the time of Jesus, and shortly after, and they prove that what the KJV says today as what it did 2,000 years ago!

The "good book" was written by man, for man. In all actuallity, what we today consider to be the bible is only a small part of the books initially considered. If the bible is the word of god, then why does man get to choose which of those words to hear?

God created the Universe, and life in it. He created the brain, and language. He went into men's minds and gave them a new language at the tower of Babel.

Authoring a book is an easy task compared to creating the universe, and heavenly things.

Therefore, God, the Holy Spirit, can go into his prophets minds and guide them to write stories.

The question is; did he inspire anyone to write mankind a book to benefit them?

The only way people believe is by studying these books, praying for truth and coming to their own conclusions, as we have free will.

Since God has the ability to author a book, do we really want to know what he has to say?

The Bible/Quoran was meant to lay down the religious laws in a set of stories meant to honor God/Allah. These are words of men, and are sometimes taken literally as the word of God/Allah by some religious fanatics. These books are meant to show the religious infused history of the world and instill religious values. They should not be taken literally and should be treated as any other work of literature.

yeah of course. i´m skeptic i doubt if those books were wrote by God or by the man but i´m preety sure that were written by the man and it´s because the man has always looked for supernatural questions to solve all the mistery that involves the same existence and also because all people would love to have supernatural powers but on the other hand í think that God can exist because all what surrounds us is realy amazing from the athome to the hugest galaxy

No. It is the word of God, inspired by God, written by men of God with God's guidance. There will come a time when you will agree that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. You'll see.
