Did you go through a period where you couldn't help but worry about the "consequences" of leaving the faith? As I further myself from the religion, I can't shake all of the things that have been pounded into my head starting at a young age. You know, like the burning in hell kind of consequences. I was just wondering if people who were Christians and are now Atheist, Agnostics, or other faiths felt that same way and when, if ever, the feelings went away.

Christians: You are more than welcome to throw your two cents in. But this question is not directed towards you, and I already know what kind of things you are going to say....

We understand that this is offensive to you. However, we have no other options with quite the same impact. So, I would humbly ask you to submit lists of substitutions for our use. Thanks so much.

Most Christians have never read the Bible in its entirety. Most Christians cannot name the Ten Commandments off the top of their heads. Why are you so lazy, 'Christians'?

Some people are only attacking the bible, instead of having a peaceful argument based on what the pages say. Are any people actually interested in what the bible says?

When you attack the bible, you are hurting peoples feelings. There are people on another screen elsewhere that was hurt by your comments. If you are really not interested in learning what the bible says, it would be a good idea to write it on the subject line, that you are interested in attacking. For example at the end of the question you could write (attack) so that people who are not looking for a fight don't get trapped.

Opinions and comments please, as long as they are peaceful.

this is a question that has been on my mind for a while:

How many atheists don't believe in g-d _because_ of a religion and not spirtuality?

I want to know because in the answers that I've seen that atheists are against certain religions or practices of religions.

I also would like to say I respect your opinion and you have your belief and I have mine.

Should Christians boycott Halal Food? Yes.

Acts 15:29 that you abstain from food offered to idols, from blood, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these things, you will do well. Farewell.

Revelation 2: 20 But I have this against you: you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and teaches and deceives My servants to commit sexual immorality [b] and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.

According to the bible, food offered to idols are NOT to be partaken by Christians.

Why is Halal food considered idol food?

Halal food is food that is sacrificed facing the ka’abah where the black stone resides and in the name of allah. This IS idol worship. And allah has been proven to be NOT the one who saved the Jews in the exodus, but instead a moon idol by historians & archaelogists alike.

Saladin's relationship with Richard I of England was one of chivalrous mutual respect as well as military rivalry; both were celebrated in courtly romances. When Richard was wounded, Saladin offered the services of his personal physician. At Arsuf, when Richard lost his horse, Saladin sent him two replacements. Saladin also sent him fresh fruit with snow, to keep his drinks cold. Richard had suggested to Saladin that his sister could marry Saladin's brother - and Jerusalem could be their wedding gift.
Notwithstanding the differences in beliefs, the Muslim Saladin was respected by Christian lords, Richard especially. Richard once praised Saladin as a great prince, saying that he was without doubt the greatest and most powerful leader in the Islamic world. Saladin in turn stated that there was not a more honorable Christian lord than Richard. After the treaty, Saladin and Richard sent each other many gifts as tokens of respect. Would you please pray for my boss' neice Crystal who is also my friend. She is 20 years old and has cancer. It's non-hodgkins lymphonma and in her neck and goes down over her heart. They have sent her home from the hospital and have put an iv in her chest for chemotherapy treatment. She's very scared and the doctors told her that even if she recovered from it that her chances of ever having any children were slim to none due to the chemotherapy. Please pray for her, her husband of only one year and the rest of her family.

God made a Divine Plan along time ago, and he made a plan for everyone, right? So then why do we pray to try to get Him to help us?
Suppose your prayers aren't answered. What do you say? "Well, it's God's will." "Thy Will Be Done." Fine, but if it's God's will, and He's going to do what He wants to anyway, why bother praying in the first place? Couldn't you just skip the praying part and go right to His Will?

As for the APPLE, this is complete MYTHOS. When i got the idea that God commanded ADAM and EVE not to eat an apple i believed it, and determined never to eat another apple again, as long as i lived. But behold, i was chastened and reprooved that it was not.
this only proves how the world and the world of christianity have believed false traditions.
