Should Christians boycott Halal Food? Yes.

Acts 15:29 that you abstain from food offered to idols, from blood, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these things, you will do well. Farewell.

Revelation 2: 20 But I have this against you: you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and teaches and deceives My servants to commit sexual immorality [b] and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.

According to the bible, food offered to idols are NOT to be partaken by Christians.

Why is Halal food considered idol food?

Halal food is food that is sacrificed facing the ka’abah where the black stone resides and in the name of allah. This IS idol worship. And allah has been proven to be NOT the one who saved the Jews in the exodus, but instead a moon idol by historians & archaelogists alike.

If you ask how are people deceived into committing adultery, just compare Deuteronomy 24:4, Jeremiah 3:1 versus Islam’s Bukhari V7, 63, N187, where an action viewed as immoral by God is instead encouraged by islam’s allah.

If Christians do not put their foot down and say NO to Halal food soon, what will happen is that Halal will grow in its reach, and the day will come sooner for Halal to be forcibly written on your foreheads and arms.

What is Halal? Refer to Isaiah 14:14, and you will see proven using the ancient Hebrew texts that Halal is the name of Lucifer. In the book of Revelation, Christians are beheaded, who is beheading in this century? Muslims.

Most christians don't know anything about their own religion. They listen to the pope since most are catholics. The rest are too busy catching american idol.

I doubt many will pick up what you say here, since like you say most are going to hell.

And yes I believe allah is not the god of the Jews and christians. Unfortunately, the muslims cannot agree with you or they will have to dump islam.

No point doing anything untill you have done all your home work.

I am sorry that most of our world is worried about what someone else is doing, while as human beings we are not worried about what we ourselves are not doing. On one side there is Extreme Hunger and Starvation, While on the other there are people dying of Eating too much.

That is just one example I am sure you can think of many more but to understand what I am saying you have to stop being a sheep or a wolf and start being a human being.

Firstly, halal food isn't food sacrificed to idols, at least not that I know of. Neither is the meat offered to Allah. True, they may have to recite the shahada at the point of slaughter, but strictly speaking it is not food offered to Allah, at least not in the usual sense of the Chinese placing the food before an idol.

Secondly, granting your premise for the sake of argument, the treatment of halal food is the same as idol food covered in 1 Corinthians 11:

"Eat anything that is sold in the marketplace without questions of conscience, for the earth and its abundance are the Lord’s. If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience. But if someone says to you, “This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience – I do not mean yours but the other person’s. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience? If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food that I give thanks for? So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God."

However, the freedom of the believer in matters of food is to be balanced by the consideration of love i.e not to stumble another believer. If the food I am about to consume would stumble another believer (who has yet to arrive at the same understanding about idol food), then I would refrain.

The reality is that an idol is nothing. Everything belongs to the Lord. Though we are not to partake at the same table with demons, which means to participate in the eating of food at the presence of idols (ritual feasts), we are free to purchase and eat of food from the marketplace, regardless of what has been done to the meat prior, so long as it has not been physically tampered with that would make the food unsuitable for human consumption.

If you're living in the U.S., there's something called "Freedom of religion," mentioned right there in the VERY FIRST amendment.
People have certain types of food that they prefer, often due to religious beliefs; what's wrong with that? Do you know what halaal meat is, by the way? Halaal meat comes from those animal that are NOT killed ruthlessly; that're not shot in the forehead. Halaal meat is when you sacrifice the animal WHILE praising and thanking God for the food/meat!!!!! (What's wrong with doing that???!! I'd be HAPPY that there are people in this world who still praise and thank God for providing them such food!!!!)
So, you see, that's what halaal meat is. Oh, and pork is not halaal simply because of the harms it causes in the human body. Research it to know what I mean.
And don't even THINK about intermingling GOD's REAL and TRUE Teachings/Guidelines with what you believe is God's Teachings, ok? Not too wise.
I don't think anyone has any right to judge other people's food choices.
You need peace, it seems to me, so may God bless you and your loved ones with peace!
Hatred isn't the answer; neither is ignorance nor the call for violence or hatred.

Edit: Who told you Muslims are idol worshippers?? LOL! Silly you! Muslims pray to GOD, the ONE God who has no son/father, you see? The One God who doesn't let His own creation "crucify" Him or a part of Him. The One God who has the ability to forgive you even without having to "sacrifice" His son for you. FACING the Kaba is NOT the same as WORSHIPPING the Kaba. What's wrong with making sacrifices, doing good things in God's Name? Tell me who's the Idol worshipper here.... You worhship Jesus who was sent as a human (since he was human, really); or then, you pray the Cross... or to some picture of Jesus being crucified on the Cross.... We Muslims have absolutely NOTHING in front of us when we pray; it's just us and God, whom we cannot see with the physical eye.

That is so stupid. Would you be vegetarian if you had to stay in a Muslim country? And what about kosher food, which follows almost all of the same processes? I'm sure that's what Jesus ate. Also, halal and kosher meat is usually much cleaner than the factory-produced meats in most supermarkets.

I'm Pagan, and I'm not afraid to go to a Middle Eastern market or restaurant. Isn't it funny that I understand Paul's teachings on the eating of "idol meat" better than you do?

Hmmm....Halal foods have to be slaughtered with a sharp knife and have to be humainly as possible while dedicating the meat to Allah....The same god as abraham....I am not sure where you getting this having to face the Kabah during slaughtering business.
If you are so concerned about eating food that is prohibited because of the reasons you stated...stop eating at buddist restaurants. If you are so concerned about following acts verse, than perhaps you should post another question asking christians if they should obstain from immoraility such as fornicating.

The verse you quote says you need to avoid eating blood. That means you SHOULD eat food which is either halal or kosher.

I don't know anything about any moon god or idol worship. I used to call myself Christian, and now I call myself Muslim, though my beliefs have not changed - I believe in one God, the creator, the sustainer.

You are spreading lies.

Remember: "reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

Furthermore remember: James admonishes to “consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue is also a fire, a world of evil among parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.” He goes on to remind us that “With our tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?”

If the God you follow teaches lying and hatred, you do not follow the God of Jesus (as). I do not want to assume you are intentionally lying, so I will assume you have been misled. You can read the Quran for yourself here: www.islamicity.com

Speaking in ignorance is foolishness. Learn the truth before you make absurd accusations.

More rampant Christian paranoia! remember the Crusades-Christain on the other side of the beheadings there. As for moon idols-so very much of Christianity is begged, borrowed and stolen from other beliefs. The bible is a social document, extensively edited and very much unsubstaniated. What a shame that fear and hate go side by side. I suggest you start thinking-its a refreshing process.

I am sorry my friend you are truly misinformed

Halal food, is food that has the name of God pronounced on it at the time of slaughter. You do not face a certain direction when you slaughter the meat whether it be cow, chicken or lamb.

We are not idol worshipers! This is the reason why the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was sent to the people of Arabia because before Islam was introduced to them they were idol worshippers.

We are simply told to face the Kabah during prayers, we are not worshipping the Kabah. The kabah in Mecca was made originally by the Prophet Abraham.

Maybe you need to look up the definition of God

God

noun
supreme being: the being believed in monotheistic religions such as Judaism, Islam, and Christianity to be the all-powerful all-knowing creator of the universe, worshiped as the only god

You should also read this verse, I understand you may not believe it but at least read what it says

[005:005] Made lawful to you this day are At-Tayyibât [all kinds of Halâl (lawful) foods, which God has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables and fruits)]. The food (slaughtered cattle, eatable animals) of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) is lawful to you and yours is lawful to them. (Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time when you have given their due Mahr (bridal-money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girlfriends. And whosoever disbelieves in Faith [i.e. in the Oneness of God and in all the other Articles of Faith, i.e. His (God's) Angels, His Holy Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], then fruitless is his work; and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

Peace Be With You

Food is food! It doesn't matter what direction one is facing when they kill an animal, it is meat just the same.
It makes no difference because the deity it is sacrificed to doesn't exist.
