does that mean we give to god ALL god is due too?
or give it via a messenger
if the messenger gets the message why?
why not give to god that which is due to god alone?
is he not every where
even in our own hearts?

Do you explain it like this person did:

Jesus said,

" for no man shall know the week, the day nor the hour....not even my Son (Jesus) shall know this time, as it i the Lords hour ".

This person corrupted the above verse in order to espouse his church's doctrine.

Why can't you just believe what Jesus said about who he was?

Is he the son of God, or God, or Holy Spirit. (Please don't quote Paul; Please quote Jesus if you must quote someone about who Jesus is.)


(Ironically if you follow Jesus' instructions, you will still go to Heaven , even if you don't know who he is.

if you do want to go to heaven say these words from your heart.Jesus I am a sinner .I believe You are the Son of God.I believe You died on the cross for me.Please forgive my sins and come into my heart right now.I want You to be the Lord of my life.Thank You Jesus for saving me.I praise You and I worship You Jesus. And from this point on I want to have a personal relationship with You.If you said these words from your heart you are a new person .You are saved and when its time you will go to heaven. God bless you.I will pray for you as you are reading and believing.God will do this for you because He loves you. I guarentee this will work and you will be free .

It's not just Unbelievers, there are also Christians who will tease or gossip about other Christians who try to do the right thing. What scriptures help you deal with ridicule and gossip from people like this, so that you remain strong despite the opinions of others?

I do well 90% of the time, because I know only God's opinion matters, but I'm human and there are times I get weak, and that's when it bothers me, especially when it's relatives or people close to me.

For instance, I refused to exaggerate about my income to receive extra money for something. And a few people close to me acted as if I was being silly or acting too holy. This is just one of many examples. Some people even get angry & I don't get that.

There are non-christians who experience this as well when they're honest. But I'm looking for a Christian perspective along with scriptures you read during times like this. I don't see the point of lieing to obtain something, if God is going to supply for your needs.

What are those white candles in the glass holders used for? They're sold @ just about every store and the always have some sort of painting of the Virgin Mary or Jesus or some Saint on it. I was just wondering what Catholics light them for... Prayers? Holidays? Is it just lit all the time? They must be used a lot since they're sold everywhere.

(I'm really not trying to be rude... I'm not Catholic and I always wondered.)

As a Christian I have watched some shows of Sex and the City and to tell you the truth I find it enjoyable but the problem is I feel kind of guilty. It's just a show and what they do in it I don't take personally, Is that ok? Also I read Cosmopolitan magazine and it's the same thing as that. This is serious. I believe in signs, it's just that I struggle to read them sometimes....

If a guy you like steps on a dead rose while you're walking together what does that mean, looking at it metaphorically?

We were walking to class together and he stepped on this dead rose... I don't know where it came from, no one was selling any and it just seemed like a movie moment...

So, it occurred to me the other day. As a Christian, is luck something we are supposed to believe in? Or is everything already pre-destined? I realize that in the big picture, in general, things happen for a reason, like car accidents, proposals, promotions, etc. But what about other smaller things, like winning a game of bowling, or having a test cancelled that you didn't study for? Surely these things don't affect our futures, but is it luck or God's will? Or neither?

People with rabies have to be tied up because they try to bite other people. There is a treatment, but it involves shutting the brain down just before the disease (or virus) gets to the brain, and it rarely works. Why should we just tie these people down to a bed and wait for them to scream themselves to death?
