OK, let's take that prayer apart...

"I am a sinner" -- a response of the believer whose eyes have been opened. You betcha, great start.

"I believe..." Yes, you do. Great profession of faith, too.

"Forgive my sins..." can't argue with that, good so far.

"Come into my heart right now" --WHOAAA!!! You don't authorize God to do anything or tell him when or how He saves. You've JUST repented, you already said you believe, and now you have to back up and give consent? No no no, God does as he pleases, YOU were the sinner that He did not have to save, you're at this point because of what God has done, not what you think you can consent to.

"I want you to be Lord of my life" -- yes, you do, and you will want this from here on out to eternity.

"I praise and worship you Jesus" -- yes, you do, and you will want this from here on out to eternity.

"From this point on I want to have a personal relationship..." -- yes, you do, but you're dangerously close to putting the focus on yourself again.

And what's up with "if you said these words...you will go to Heaven...God will do this for you..I guarantee"? You've reduced a relationship to a formula, God is not a vending machine or a telemarketer. Your guarantee... You see what I mean? Come back when you've put the focus back on God who in His mercy and grace has called you to Himself.

I am already saved...I'm responding b/c of all the negative answers. People on here should have more respect for differing beliefs. I don't agree with alot of things on here but I realize that others are just as passionate about their beliefs as I am about mine and when answering questions I try to be respectful and its possible to disagree w/o being mean, hateful, condescending or mocking.

On what evidence do you base this promise, and where do I serve the lawsuit papers if your promise is false? If you are basing this on the bible, that is foolish, as the bible contains hundreds of errors and can be used as a competent resource for nothing.

Why would you even want to live forever anywhere? There is only so much to learn and experience! I would think after a few billion years in heaven you would want nothing more than to die, but maybe it's just me. My advice to you is; Enjoy your life, it is the only one you get.

Your god doesn't exist so why would I care? You can't guarantee something that you have no proof of other than your bible.

Take your head out of your bible sometime. There's a wide world out there you aren't allowing yourself to see because you're so obssessed with your religion.

Only Jesus/God can decide that.

No, because Heaven is not a real place.

Unfortunately, it won't help. Jesus is dead, and heaven doesn't exist.

What good is your guarantee? I'm supposed to believe you until I'm dead - what if you're wrong?

Actually I want to be sure that I do NOT go there. Christian heaven is not my cup of tea to put it lightly.
