They'll be singing a different tune when it's their own child or loved one. Personally, the embryo which the stem cells are taken from is not human yet. A human is able to live on its own, breathe on its own, and doesn't have to live inside of a womb to survive. Once it can breathe on its own and doesn't need to have food filtered through its mother, then it's a baby.

Letting you 6 year old have sex is so not the same lol. This is basically a question of bioethics, and pretty much every health code in the Western World says the same thing "Make a choice that would be in the persons best interests and best for their health/life" in various ways. Well letting your 6 year old have sex isnt' good for the six year old right? Letting your baby's body be mutilated is rather disrespectful. If a dead person has previously chosen to donate their organs, why not? You are respecting their wishes, and it is in their best interests, and they already lived their life. Plus you can get stem cells from a lot of other things, other than dead babies.

properly the stem cellular study should be undesirable if it finally ends up in cloning. yet i'm open to the prospect of stem cellular study because actual i do not understand a lot about it. Killing an embryo and/or a existence does not eliminate a soul. God is the only which provides out existence and souls. As for the twins, for sure each and each entity has it really is personal soul. tremendous questions...

Stem Cell research is not considered bad, only Embryonic Stem Cell Research which requires the killing of the embryo to do the research or take cells from it. They can do the very same research from Stem Cells gotten from Amniotic fluid or cord blood

I am pro-stemcell and pro-choice, but this argument is not valid in the least.

First most theists are not against stemcell research but destroying a human embryo.

Second an organ from a dead person has no more use. The owner already had his chance on earth, and has passed on. Assuming they willing donate their organs, they have made their choice.

No its not the same this. Stem cell research is taking a living person that hasent even had it first breath of real air and killing it. Then using it for research that has been proven inevictive. Donating organs saves lives. Stem cell research just doesnt it kills them.
may God bless you and everyone you love

Humm,,,,,

with stem cell research we would be able to grow new organs that would be better to use then the organs of a dead person.

that is a fact

Taking an organ doesn't kill a living entity (as they are already dead in most cases), whereas research on a fertilized embryo does kill some form of life.

I'm not saying I disagree with stem cell research, but these two things you are comparing are quite different.

No, it truly isn't. The dead peoples' lives are *done*, they have had an opportunity to be born, to feel things, and to *live*. Plus they or their relatives or spouses have consented. We aren't giving these unborn, non-consenting "donors" that opportunity. What is so wrong with trying other sources where nobody gets killed, like fat, umbilical cord blood, baby teeth, etc?

Of course it's not the same thing.
The organ donor gives consent and makes their intentions known. The organ donor is dead. The donor does not have the potential to develop life.
The embryo is a human. It is alive. It develops every day,and in time will become a baby.

Question Everything:I know quite a bit about stem-cell research.I didn't just 'blindly listen to my spiritual leader',as you put it.
