All you're going to get is someone's opinion, and even a pastor is as fallible as anyone else. Watch or don't watch (I don't like those things myself.) But why are you basically asking people to lecture you and make you feel guilty? If you're not a 100 percent comfortable with something, shouldn't it be your decision?
My father didn't like watching most sitcoms, because he felt he got to watch enough people act stupid in real life and didn't like seeing actors embarrass themselves. He preferred watching factual things. I'm the same way, and I also think the Internet's more fun and interesting than most TV shows. Neither of us needed to consult a Bible or pastor; only our own values.

Hmm don't remember seeing Cosmo or Sex in the City mentioned.. haha... However it does say in 1 Peter to guard your eyes and ears. Your eyes and ears are a direct connection to your brain which is connected to your heart. Some of that stuff you don't want taking hold in you. Just ask yourself if He would be reading or watching what you are... if not, it's probably best not to do it yourself.

Well Jesus said, in Mt 5:28- 'But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already commited adultery with her in his heart.'
You can't watch/read that stuff without feeling this way (it goes for guys and ladies).
