Do you explain it like this person did:

Jesus said,

" for no man shall know the week, the day nor the hour....not even my Son (Jesus) shall know this time, as it i the Lords hour ".

This person corrupted the above verse in order to espouse his church's doctrine.

Why can't you just believe what Jesus said about who he was?

Is he the son of God, or God, or Holy Spirit. (Please don't quote Paul; Please quote Jesus if you must quote someone about who Jesus is.)

(Ironically if you follow Jesus' instructions, you will still go to Heaven , even if you don't know who he is.

Well, excuuuse me. I believe Jesus is the son of God. But, I forgive those that don't believe that way (they still believe in Jesus).

Jesus said, If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you" Well, do you forgive me?

.

Dear "lookn" - Wow. Thank you for your enthusiasm and advice. I will consider what you have said. I will rethink my views on the points you have made.

Can we each agree that the original scrolls were not originally written in English?

Shouldn't we give Jesus' words priority in trying to understand:

1. Who Jesus is,
2. What Jesus wants us to do, and
3. How do we get to heaven.

Thanks again.

Okay, no quotes. Look at a shamrock. What do you see? Three leaves. Three leaves, one plant, right? Okay are any one of the leaves not a part of the shamrock? Not, they are all part and all one, even if you remove one part, or another. Think, do you have children? Aren't You a parent? Are you a child of someone else? So, you are a child and a parent. Are you therefore two or three peope?

Well Jesus said “I and the Father are one.” John 10:30. He also said "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" Clearly Abraham was alive and had already passed away before Jesus' birth. John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. As for getting into heaven, John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

you say: "in case you'll answer, please basically answer, do not quote different scriptures because i'm asking about those ones" this is an exceedingly arbitrary customary of evidence you've there. once you are able to decrease out certain verses and then reduce what you'll settle for as info, there is truly no longer something all people can try this can be sensible you already know -- if understand-how is truly what you're searching for. allow me propose that -- because you received't settle for different verses from me -- that you interact in a study about God the daddy. discover what you are able to about what God says about Himself, like the names he makes use of (like shepherd). have a glance also on the events he publicizes belong in uncomplicated words to Himself, and no individual else (like the right to guage). Then look on the praise that He publicizes is His own (like worship and His own glorification.) next, undertake an identical study, yet centred on Jesus. you already know what you'll discover? you'll discover that for the time of scripture, Jesus claimed for Himself, reserved for Himself, and referred to as Himself, the exact same issues! you be conscious, this isn't any longer a verse or 2 or ten that asserts Jesus is God. this is the entire of scripture. Jesus change into very conscious that He change into equating Himself with God interior the numerous stuff he did and reported and reserved and proclaimed. He does no longer supply us the alternative of finding out that he's a sturdy guy, or a prophet, or an angel, or something else. Our in uncomplicated words determination is to pick no matter if He change into God or a liar or a nut job.

I can explain why Jesus was NOT a true prophet, messiah or G-d without using ANY holy books.

Would a true Messiah or Prophet or God take some general rule that promotes good behavior and change it, and in changing it, not only weaken it but stick in a big fat loophole?

Prior to Jesus, there was Hillel. Hillel gave a version of the "golden rule" that read like this. "That which is hateful to you, do not do to other." That was somewhere around 50-100 years before Jesus. Hillel was and is one of the best known Rabbis so it is inconceivable that Jesus could have lived at that time and not have heard and learned about Hillel.

Now Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount said, " Treat people the same way you want them to treat you." That is sometimes stated as "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

And therein is the weakness. In the Hillel version, the assessment of the deed is stated first, then the action. That is in the order that one would actually do something. One would determine if an action is correct, then do it.

In the Jesus version, the deed is stated first, then the assessment. That is not the order that one does things.
It would be like taking an action without thought and then afterwords evaluating if you should have done it.

So from a chronological standpoint, the Jesus version is weaker.
From the assessment standpoint, the Jesus version also has a failing and a loophole.

The Hillel version requires you to evaluate an action by what a person would NOT like done to them. We can pretty well agree a person would know what they would not like. And if they would not like it, they are clearly told not to do it to others. It is a restrictive requirement. If there is any doubt, the action is not taken. If there is error in assessment, at least you do not have a compounding error in action.

The Jesus version goes the opposite direction. If you would like something done to you, you are told to do it to others. It goes on an assumption that whatever you like, others would like also.
If there is error in assessment, you also have a compounding error in action.

Let us assume you like something strange, like being tied up and beaten. Because you like it, does that mean it is OK to do to others?

With the Hillel version, it would not even enter the picture because you evaluate based upon what you do not like. But with the Jesus version, since you would like it done to you, you are told to do it to others. And that is the loophole.

In my opinion a true Prophet, a true Messiah or God would not take something that is good and weaken it, they would not take something that is good and put in a loophole.

So putting all the other reasons aside, this reason alone is enough for me to say Jesus was not the Messiah or God.

Jesus is NOT God. At John 17:3, he called his Father the ONLY true God. He called himself God's Son. (John 10:36.) At John 10:30, he did say: "I and the Father are one." But that did not mean that he was claiming equality with God. He meant that he and his Father were in harmony. They were in agreement concerning the care of the disciples that the Father had given Jesus. People who try to use John 10:30 to prove that Jesus was God forget that "one" means the same as it does in Gen. 2:24 where a husband and wife are "one flesh", meaning they are to be in harmony with each other.

Dear unclewayne; JESUS IS GOD!!!! John chapter 1.....1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Every time I come across one of your questions, I am deeply troubled in my spirit for you. You do not seem to understand the message of Jesus at all, though you continually profess that you do. You seem to completely dismiss and discount the singular message of the Gospel that flows from Genesis to Revelation. I don't know who you feel you are to decide above God that only a PORTION of His Word is to be believed above the rest, but in doing so, don't you realize that in essence you are saying that NONE of it can be trusted if we can't trust it ALL? Jesus DID say to forgive your fellow man; but WHY do you only ever quote that particular scripture? What about REPENTANCE? What about being BORN AGAIN? What about the FIRES OF HELL? What about the verse in Revelation 22:19 that says "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. What are YOU trying to do when you dismiss the writings of Paul and others that YOU may happen to disagree with? Are you wiser than God? I FEAR for you! You need to ALLOW God to teach you His whole TRUTH; not just what you perceive to be the TRUTH!

And you couldn't BE more wrong, telling someone they can still go to Heaven, even if they DON'T know who Jesus is, but follow His directions! That's utter foolishness! Do you want to meet God and have the Blood of numerous people on your hands because they listened to your silliness? Heed the Word....Ezekiel 3:18....When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

EDIT:

And may GOD forgive you for promoting that His Holy Word is corruptly translated to the point where YOU think He actually CONDONES, no APPROVES of homosexuality! I'm telling you, YOU ARE LEADING PEOPLE DOWN A SLIPPERY SLOPE!!!!!!

You explain this to me: Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born,(Jesus) a son is given (Jesus) and the government shall be upon his shoulders and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Who are they referring to as Mighty God and Eveerlasting Father?

Some say Jesus was a prophet (not unlike Muhommed), others think Jesus was the son of God, others think he makes up part of the ideal of God.

He could've been talking about himself in the 3rd person..

Here's a quote from God, the Father....

Hebrews 1:8 -
But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Revelation 1:8 -
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

To continue...
Revelation 1:17
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
