Christians are a little more involved than that B.T. ! We are about values principles and forgiveness!
We realize that we sin but we ask for spiritual and human help with these inherant flaws that mankind has.
I will pray for you and yours as the void in your life is very evident!
May the peace that Christ promotes enter your heart and your soul.
The book was written by man about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. "The Blessed Trinity"
It may seem foreign to you, however it brings comfort, hope and the promise of eternal life to billions.
Bless You!

The scarier part is that sometimes they don't even listen to the book! They get the idea that murder isn't wrong if it doesn't include people who think just like that they do, and live just like they do. Pretty creepy stuff.

I've been saying that for years. People born without a conscience are called sociopathic and Christians claim they need their god to have a conscience.
Scarey.

"Though shall not kill" is the actual commandment.
"Though shall not murder" is not the commandment.
The word murder is used in relation to the human beings.
The word kill is used in relation to other living beings, animals like goat, camel, donkey, bull, fish, etc....
People were at least already in knowledge that one should not murder, but they were killing other animals. Therefore, the need for the commandment,"Though shall not kill" .
"Though shall not murder" is clearly misinterpretation.

You are funny! Would it be better if the book said nothing about murder?

Agreed. Especially when that book is actually filled with murder (some of which is done by God.)

No, we have the moral law written in our souls like everyone else. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. : )
